Just had to add a thread on how enjoyable that game was. So great how they didn't wilt when they were down at the start.

Best thing was that they honestly didn't even play that great...and they still beat a really good team. Hawks must've given up 16 points on offensive rebounds. seemed like every other play in the first half was cinci missing a shot and scoring on an offensive rebound. Remove the off rebounds from the game and the hawks would've dominated.

If hawks box out vs tennessee it could be a good game. That will be the key in my opinion: offensive rebounds.

Interesting I thought that too. If not for the painfully slow start, it felt like Iowa could've ran away with it. They outscored them 48-36 second half. Cincinnati's coach was super impressed with Iowa post-game.

Baer is just so amazing. Does so many little things. Loose balls, hustle plays.

Like on the 3 wieskamp hit to put hawks up 6. Baer gets balls at top on the key and IMMEDIATELY swings it across the court to Joe. If there had been even slight hesitation, Joe wouldn't have been open. But Baer held the ball for a millisecond, made the pass and Joe was open for just long enough, and he hit the shot.

We are going to miss him greatly. Best basketball savvy on the team.
