some ISU fans wore these in lieu of "ANF". "Ames hates Ferentz", "Ames HAS Farmers" ??

The entire phrase was "Actually Helping Farmers Since 1848."

Obviously, it's a satiric reaction to Hayden's brilliant P.R. move.

I read their board some last week. There were quite a few random comments, in threads that had nothing to do with ANF, bashing ANF as fake and a big ruse.

So, who is "Actually Helping Farmers?" ISU didn't exist in 1848.

Like I've always said, if anyone new ISU existed, Iowa wouldn't have to champion their cause. You little scamps are just lucky big brother is looking out for you. Now, have fun this weekend in the JV game.

1858. My bad.

Clever, however, think about this: What's your answer when someone asks "what does that mean?"

I was at PSU a few years ago wearing an ANF shirt, and a PSU fan asked, What's ANF? I said, "America Needs Farmers," they nodded approvingly and moved on, it left a good impression on that individual, and I appreciated them asking.

NOW...If I'm an ISU fan wearing an AHF shirt at Kansas State, and a K-State fan asks me what AHF means...

You get the idea.

Admiring Hayden Fry

If Hawk fans quoted AHF = Admiring Hayden Fry we would see clone fans completely lose it and the shirts would disappear.

Seems like another great billboard idea for Pollard.

Most of the ignorant moron ISU Hawkeye Haters don't even know the history of why the decal was placed on the helmets. And, they don't care. America does in fact need farmers, and the entire state is ag based, including SE Iowa. I would also wager that Hawkeye athletics has more sponsorship $ from various ag related businesses than ISUcc. seed implements insurance etc. I would also wager that farmers have direct use for legal matters, medical care, and dental work. Perhaps ISU should get a decal for both football and basketball. ISUNJs&T. (ISU needs Jucos and Transfers (including dismissed transfers))

Why would anybody wear an AHF shirt to a Kansas State game?
You apparently do not get the idea.

It actually doesn't matter where it's worn, or who asks, the explanation comes across the same way regardless. The joke is good for a chuckle as long as there is no need for explanation.

If anyone "new" ISU existed?
Not sure I'm following you there, big brother.

You don't think it happens? You don't think some of them wear their "Beat Iowa" shirts during other games throughout the year?

I see a 12 year old clone fan wearing a AHF shirt and it standing for Another Hater Fan.
