always curious about bye weeks... Do they watch some film and practice? Get the day off, maybe watch other games on tv? Or do they go through gameday routines per se to some extent to stay in a groove? Just curious

It may of changed in the last couple years but I've heard this last week on bye weeks is the mid season Doyle week to get kids ready for the last half of season has some would say Hell week. Now the starters and kids bang up get more rest but I believe they will take couple days of and get ready for NW tomorrow just a guess. I heard it might of lighten up some because Iowa look like they had no legs coming off bye weeks in a few games in past.

They get a few days off. Coaches are out recruiting and visiting commits this weekend.

I heard KF say they will do the same routine. He said he doesn’t follow the NFL and give the guys the entire week off.

They will continue to practice and watch film and work on getting better.

Hopefully the coaches have stressed that this isn't a week to go stupid and forget why you're enrolled at the university. It's a week to rest up for the second half of the season.

I'd go visit my family.
This.
Relax. Enjoy the day. AND DON'T DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD REQUIRE INVOLVEMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, UNIVERSITY DISCIPLINARY ACTION, OR TEAM RULE INFRACTION.

Kirk said on hawk central that they have been monitoring snaps so those who don’t start or play that much will get more snaps during practice. So it is more developmental time and get guys healthy.

The bye week is an excellent football team. They're going to watch some film and try to clean some things up a bit; try to correct some mistakes. You never know what might happen during the ebbs and flows of an off week. It ain't sexy, but that's football.

I'll tell you what I've done with this bye weekend.........

Not a gotdam thing. And it was great.

Only things that would've made it better is if Texas would've given Big Papa Mayfield another loss and if I didn't have this f***ing cold!

Oh and f*** Nick Saban/Urban Meyer and their fake anger (yes, it's all for show) at everything because their teams aren't perfectly beating their opponents by 100 pts. It was annoying 4 seasons ago........It's 2017 now.
