What if Iowa loses to Northwestern

If Iowa loses to NW, I would start to seriously ask if the problem wasn't Brian at all. We all know Kirk was still an issue in combination with Brian. But maybe this "no matter who the OC is it's Kirk that's the problem" is in reality multiplied by 1000.

The sh*t would hit the fan. He wouldn't be fired but I would wager that Beth would tell him to try to exit gracefully.

This is the most guaranteed win on the schedule we've had in years. Just enjoy the beautiful day knowing the Hawks will handle a very poor Northwestern team.

The damage done to Iowa football by the Brian and Kirk show can't all be undone in one year. Cade is proof of that.

We've known this for YEARS.

There's no way - no matter how bad they are - that an OC is consistently starting and keeping such crap at QB1 for so many years running.

Its KF's stubborn ass that keeps trotting out the worst available option at QB1 game in and game out.

It was both. Being that bad takes an inbred group effort. The offense is better this year but extremely limited by the existing personnel.
And Lester doesn’t have the benefit of an elite defense, which Brian was frequently given. Would’ve been interesting to see an offense of this year’s quality matched with the 21-23 defenses. Oh well, we’ll never know.
