Right in the middle of Millennial. Glad to experience a pre-social media childhood, a pre 9/11 world, and a somewhat healthy political environment.

- Old enough to remember some of 'pre-tech' society
- Came of age during the rise of the internet, smart phones and social media
- Experienced pre and post 9/11
- Rising cost of college and graduated/entered work force during financial collapse
- Rise of Obama, Tea Party Patriots, Trump/MAGA and the reorganizing of parties

What are the board generation demographics?

I’m going to be that guy…

Millennials stopped being born in the mid 90’s. Gen Z ended more than a decade ago (2012). Gen Alpha are being born now and have been for a while.

The generations are what AI told me. The data came from this site:

I’m amazed how many boomers are on here

shocked you guys know how to use the internet

I began my computer education/career in 1982...they were still teaching how to use punch cards then. My college education was in mainframe computer programming (stuff like Cobol and CICS). Mid 90's when I first began using the internet, it was a piece of cake - the only issue was speed of the line we were tied to. Then I began working in wired telecom in the late 90's...I was working daily with DS3 speeds in a dial up internet world back then.

There's a reason why I have (quick count) 6 desktop/laptop computers lying around my house, all working perfect (a couple are 15+ years old)...

Well the generation prior to the boomer generation has always been the silent generation. The generally accepted years by generation are as follows (give or take a year):

  • The Greatest Generation – born 1901-1924.
  • The Silent Generation – born 1925-1945.
  • The Baby Boomer Generation – born 1946-1964.
  • Generation X – born 1965-1979.
  • Millennials – born 1980-1994.
  • Generation Z – born 1995-2012.
  • Gen Alpha – born 2013 – 2025.

Apparently mine are workplace generations. Everyone is invited to provide in their comments the appropriate generation.
