Ok Evilmonkey from a outsider looking in

Cal knew or was worred about the new studs at Ohio State and knew they could not win nationals this year even with nico and Zain.,
Of course he had no idea that Delgardo was going to be injured thus gives Nico a chance to be a champ next year with him gone.
He knows Zain would not beat Stiebler again cause anyone in their right mind most likely will never take down on Zain again unless refs start calling stalling on top man.
Now let the Penn State boys come and give me hell and we all know why cause the truth hurts.;)
That will or should be a great match next year between Nolf and IM, I will put my money on IM if healthy that kid could be another Ruth or Taylor.
Cael wasn't worried about his competitor as a wrestler and he certainly wasn't worried about Ohio State's
"new" studs as Penn State's stud at 197 handled Ohio States biggest "new" stud. That entire statement is
a fallacy. Cael is afraid of NO ONE. One of his biggest mantras is that "steel sharpens steel". Meaning
that the best wrestling the best... only make your wrestler better.

You were way over your head on this guess and stab in the dark. Cael welcomes competition. He doesn't back
down from it... and feels you only get better from wrestling better competition. He chose wisely and with the input
of Nico Megaludis and Zain Retherford to redshirt both kids because they can be redshirted.

Is anyone complaining that IMAR redshirted? Look at the transformation a year made for him. He professed in his
post match interview to Shane Sparks of TBN that he didn't blossom until he went to college. Then the switch went
off that he could maximize his FULL potential. We are now seeing it as a RS Freshman. Nico and Zain have every
right to redshirt and gain that year of maturity in the room and gain strength. I'll think you'll see the results of that
experience and be wowed by it.
Hey amalone I was just being a smart ass ok..Glad to see u back. Also notice you do seem some what more calmer.
You coming to St Louis buy you a drink.
Hey MinnHawkeye... Good to know that your comment was tongue in cheek. You can be a smart ass anytime
you want. This one was at my expense. I wasn't getting what you were serving.

Oh... I'll be a little bit more hyped next year. Having a rebuilding year in which you didn't get to see Taylor or
Ruth out there creating "magic" was a big pill to swallow. I guess my pill got stuck in my throat and I lost my
"voice" here and on my own site. It was a year of getting used to those two being gone.

Yet the atmosphere at the Bryce Jordan Center was electric for the IOWA match. I thought I went to a rock
concert and a wrestling match broke out. It was a surreal environment for two great college programs. Wish
you could have been there Minnhawkeye. Something to remember for a long time... though the Ruth and Taylor
memories are boundless.

I worked the 2011 Nationals in Philadelphia as a score keeper and time keeper for the NCAA. It got me addicted
to Nationals and what an unbelievable exerpience it was. I got to eat lunch with Wade Schalles and Nate Carr
and be mat side for the banter between opposing forces... Tom Brands and Cael Sanderson. It was magical.
One small tidbit of relative non-important, yet fun information for me. I got to be the score keeper for Kyle Dake's
last loss against Kevin LeValley at the EIWA Tournament at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. It was crazy
circling Kevin LeValley's name and having the head referee come over and put his initials on the score sheet. All
great memories leading up to Nationals and getting to go to the Wells Fargo Center and soak up the atmosphere
before the tournament started. There is NOTHING like it in the sporting world for me and many wrestling fans.

I'm not going to this years Nationals because of the complete mat coverage that ESPN has for the tournament.
It's too easy to watch every match from the comfort of my house with 8 screens up on my computer watching
every screen for big match ups from every round. It's exciting to yell through my computer and hear the crowd
noise in the background... doing the same.

I would have loved to meet up with you Minnhawkeye and had a drink with you and share some great wrestling
stories. I was watching Foxcatcher last night, the wrestling movie and saw one of my fellow time keepers and
workers at the 2011 Nationals, Screwy Louie Lazarri in the movie as a score keeper mat side. Blew my mind.
Screwy Louis is a 5'5" grey bearded Cornell Red fan who has more wrestling history in his head then a wrestling
wikipedia site. He is on FLO Wrestling as a guest analysis and resident wrestling "nut". Screwy and I would
eat lunch in the penthouse suite at the Wells Fargo Center in between rounds and he would recite great college
matches from the 60's through today. The guy was a computer of wrestling knowledge 2nd to none. He could
most likely tell you the complete history of Dan Gable's wrestling career from high school to International
competition. Hence the reason the producers put him in the movie as a "score keeper". WOW.

Minnhawkeye... have a drink for me... and I wish I was going to enjoy it with you. Have a great time rooting for the
Hawks.

I linked a small excerpt on Screwy Louie down below. The guy is a one of a kind fan. If we were all as
passionate.

That's me busting your balls... back.

Amalone, thanks for the nice reply. Man getting to sit that close to the action is wonderfull. Myself I would most likely screw up because be watching and getting excited to much not doing my job right.
I did notice in a thread someplace (old brain going) that you maybe be coming to Carver next year.
Perhaps we can meet at that time.
The link was great that guy knows a lot more than this old man. Can see how passionate he is about this great sport.
Now have your guys help the Hawks at nationals can't have Ohio State win this or Missouri although if they do the sun will still come up in the east.

Take care, next year is going to be another great year to enjoy wrestling
Also I will try not to be a smart ass anymore however; being Irish that might be a hard chore

MinnHawkeye... If I could get a ticket I'd definitely think about going to the dual next year. Thanks also for your reply. It's good to hear from you. Banter is best from buds from afar.

It was exciting to be so close to Tom Brands and his brother yelling encouragement to their wrestlers and be mere feet away as
they did so. Cael and Cody Sanderson... ditto.

Being on the floor of the Wells Fargo Center as the action was going on round after round is something I'll never forget.

Do you know where Josey Wales has been on your site?? Haven't seen him post in a while.
