Holy Hell. You don't see a difference in the world then and now? Nice try though. I changed my mind. Poor effort on your part. You mean like the English, the Scots, the Germans. the Italians and the Poles who moved here decades ago?

I believe the FACTS support that refugees are not the issue with terrorism...The issue lies more with foreign illegals who use "work visas" and forged passports to gain illegal entry into countries. The fact (that is often over-looked) remains that "immigrants" are carefully screened and vetted before they are allowed entry into most countries...especially the USA. I will agree that "illegal aliens" are a huge problem....especially in Europe. The issue is not that serious here in the USA.Holy Hell. You don't see a difference in the world then and now? Again...short term thinking. My concern is down the road.I believe the FACTS support that refugees are not the issue with terrorism...The issue lies more with foreign illegals who use "work visas" and forged passports to gain illegal entry into countries. Tom...that is where you and I differ. The same thing was said regarding the SouthEast Asian refugees Gov. Robert Ray embraced back in the 70's. That act was perhaps the most compassionate act of humanity ever expressed by the State of Iowa.Again...short term thinking. My concern is down the road.
Now you are just being silly . It's not any where near our moral obligationAnd your point is? Seems like it's the least we could do and well within our moral obligations.

And there is a difference between SE Asian refugees and people from the middle east. If there were 10,000 Chinese refugees we were going to take in, I would be far less hesitant. That part of the world is so effed up in the way they think, and has been for longer than I have been alive. I don't want more of the middle east in the US than there needs to be.Tom...that is where you and I differ. The same thing was said regarding the SouthEast Asian refugees Gov.
