Yup. Lots of speculation that Dems will try to force Soto out, and maybe install Harris. There might be a Senator or two who will balk at that. If the nominee is someone other than Harris, they might have a chance. It would have to come together quickly with roughly 5 weeks to get it done.

Leave it to the Dems to even think about ditching the best Justice on the Court.

Now if they can manage to get Alito or Thomas to go away, that would be great. Preferably both.

Some may recall that this was the play I suggested over a year ago. Shunt Kamala to the Court, bring on a VP capable of beating Trump, and then Biden either announces he won't run again or resigns.

Either the better VP gets to run as the incumbent or we have a full Dem primary to battle-test Biden's replacement.

Would it have mattered? Probably, but who knows?
