We've gone from no moderation to over moderation in a second.
What's up with all these threads being deleted?

It lasted all of ten minutes. I get deleting threads with porn in them. But this is getting ridiculous.
Many times conservative thinking posters were censored and banned because liberal posters would cry to Kakert and his posse about having their feelings hurt or god forbid having a different opinion and the admin Kakert was one of the biggest butthurt babies on this site. It's nice to see it the other way for a little while.???
I've been married for 35 years. I'm used to everything being my fault.
If it gets moderated enough it will feel just like stormfront. How cozy.
Since I joined, I have read nothing but how these boards are not moderated.

Only reason I asked this- Facebook groups, when you “report” a post it goes to Facebook HQ, and the mods of that group (I’ve been told). Wonder if someone spamming report buttons here got the attention of the “mother ship” in a bad way.
Then they should moderate cussing and porn. Deleting political posts is out of line.
It used to be very bad. I got banned in 2012 after Iowa football lost to Central Michigan making a thread saying KF coached a crappy game.
Why would a question be deleted. This is crazy.

Great way to kill one of the highest traffic boards on Rivals. I was also on Warchant. Mods killed that place. Utter stupidity to do the same on one of the most legendary sites out there.

There is some confusion on threads/posts being deleted and threads being locked. It would be helpful to have some input. Is it content? Posters unable to manage themselves? An edict from corporate? Things seem to have changed rapidly.
As one poster mentioned it would be nice to see some presence here if only for you to be seen, and get the flavor of what’s being discussed. I believe we seem to be self moderating, but perhaps there is an issue we need to have some input on?

Any of you injured parties gone to the new site owner yet? Name the threads, the mod's well-known bias, and ask for relief. The owner wants traffic, and any politically biased mod should be axed.

I’m grateful that Michigan State boards have clear boundaries about such things. We could use some firm and rigid guidance from our mods - otherwise, things are just gonna explode in our faces.

I've often wondered how much access an administrative "mod" role gets on Rivals. I'm sure there are limited permission roles you can give to mods, but generally speaking, non-IT folks do not understand the concept of Least Privilege. It would not surprise me if an owner of a site just gives full administrative access to people out of the gate. I could be wrong, but there are too many morons out there for me to feel comfortable.

Torbee, I believe, like many of you, is old enough to remember when Todd Brommelkamp maintained a presence here. Not entirely sure his status, but wasn’t he a moderator? Or, an underling of some sort?
My fear is AI, or some support person in Bangladesh is getting hits on key words or complaints and acting arbitrarily.
