The final 4 team debate keeps people at ESPN employed, I guess.

Iowa and its fans just need to focus on one game at a time; win our next 2, and we are in the CFP.

Win our next 4 and Civil War breaks out when Iowa is declared national champion. But don't worry, the South will lose this war, too.

Click on the link that follows and watch the video; then watch the next 2 videos that come up; you will see Finebaum, Mike and Mike, and other ESPN talking heads debate Iowa, its schedule, etc.

But as big Mike says, the winner of an undefeated Iowa/one loss Mich State will be in the CFP.

They all ASSUME we will lose to Nebraska or to the East champion. If they really believe this then what are they worried about? Makes you wonder. That should actually just say "it doesn't matter where Iowa is ranked because they will lose" and then drop it.....so again, what are they so concerned about?

good points. i hope the players remain focused; one game at a time. win our next 2, and we are in.

its crazy, too, that Iowa keeps winning and once OSU lost, Finebaum immediately replaces OSU w/ MSU in his final 4, giving no consideration to Iowa.

oh well, i really want to make the CFP just to see his big ears turn red =)

I know. Finebaum is SEC blinded and if you are not a big time "name" school he brushes it off. Joey Galloway is about the most reasonable about this. He was just on Finebaum, had Iowa 4 and when pressed by Finebaum he simply said that when it comes to the Big Ten it will all work itself out over the next two weeks. He felt it would be Iowa or MSU winning this week and the winner is in. He even said OSU is out so he wasn't pulling a homer play. There is so much angst with a few of them it is getting comical. If we win this week some of these guys won't have any fingernails left. I am with you.... Hope the team stays focused and I think they will. If we play well and get beat in the Big Ten championship game, then it has still been a hell of a year. But..... I would not bet against our guys right now. Truly a TEAM. Enjoy Thanksgiving and buckle up!

Angst is the key word, isn't it? People like Finebaum don't want to give Iowa one second of their time to see why they are 11-0; it can't be because they are playing well and playing team football; it must be because they have an easy overall schedule; Finebaum asked Kanell if Iowa played Mich State's schedule (vs Oregon, at Mich, at Ohio St), would Iowa be 11-0? Kanell said there is no way knowing; Finebaum just shook his head

Well, we've already been cursed by sports illustrated so it doesn't matter.
