If they think they're liable to die or become incapacitated in office they might make it a consideration. More than it normally is anyway. It's part of the equation this cycle.
Being Trump's VP would be a tough gig. The person taking that job will have to balance the daily BS and grind with their perceived opportunity to be POTUS one day. I think the taint would outweigh the experience.
