I went Bill the Cat.

Before Bill the Cat there was not. Not a lot before Bill the Cat. I'll tell you that. What we've got, from not a lot, may have come from Bill the Cat, or not. But before Bill the Cat he was not as well. He doesn't look that well whether or not it is before Bill the Cat, or now when he's back. Too which I say, Pffft! Aack!

Get well Bill the Cat, you can do that. Spit that thing out! And take a bath!

I went to law school because of Steve Dallas.

I wanted to vote for Bill the Cat but had to vote for Opus. He drove the story day after day, no offense to Milo and Binkley. Steve Dallas was a caricature of the preppies of the 1980s, and at the end confessed that he was gay. Cutter John was the obligatory disabled Vietnam War vet when everybody started feeling guilty about how Vietnam vets were treated. His girlfriend was hot.

Opus was the every-man penguin. I will never forget the strip where he goes to Antarctica to find his mother. He calls out for her, describes her, and a million black and white penguins with big noses stare back at him.
