Who started the Russia/Ukraine conflict?

Who started the war?

  • Russia started the war and Putin is a dictator.

  • Ukraine started the war and Zelensky is a dictator.

  • Russia started the war and Putin was legitimately elected.

  • Ukraine started the war and Zelensky was legitimately elected.

  • Other, I'll explain in the comments.

I don’t see “I don’t care. I have other things to worry about” or “I don’t care. The grim reaper’s success rate is 100 percent regardless” or “I don’t care. I’m too busy getting laid” as options. Perhaps a quick edit to your poll?
Other covers that.

Many would argue that without the post cold war NATO expansion, Russia would not have felt the need to react...
one would argue if the lady wasn't wearing a dress that showed cleavage, she wouldn't have been raped.
There are very few shades of gray in matters of right and wrong.
Unless you feel russia and putin are on the right side of history like the rest of the maga movement.

History will not look kindly on magats, the problem is; they all deny they bought all of trumps disinformation hook, line, and sinker.
Where else did this story play out in history......

Regarding the current conflict, Russia was the military aggressor,.. However, if one looks deeply into the history of this situation, it's hard not to find that poor choices made by the west and NATO laid the groundwork...
This. It was the Bush I era assholes who reneged on the assurances made to Gorbachev re: NATO that got the ball rolling and the 2014 Nuland-led CIA coup that finished it.

50 years from now Americans will be embarrassed to talk about the Trump era. Unless this Christo-fascist group still has authoritarian rule then. If the military goes along with what Trump is trying to do...the AMERICAN MILITARY...there isn't going to be anything THE PEOPLE will be able to do about it.

Most of the countries that joined in the 1990s and 2000w were once dominated by the Soviet Union and wanted protection from that happening again. If Russia had a better reputation this never would have had to happen.

"The fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact after the end of the Cold War opened up the possibility of further NATO enlargement. Some of the new democracies of Central and Eastern Europe were eager to become integrated into Euro-Atlantic institutions.

In 1995, the Alliance carried out and published the results of a Study on NATO Enlargement that considered the merits of admitting new members and how they should be brought in. It concluded that the end of the Cold War provided a unique opportunity to build improved security in the entire Euro-Atlantic area and that NATO enlargement would contribute to enhanced stability and security for all.

Czechia, Hungary and Poland were invited to begin accession talks at the Alliance's Madrid Summit in 1997 and on 12 March 1999 they became the first former members of the Warsaw Pact to join NATO.

Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia were invited to begin accession talks at the Alliance's Prague Summit in 2002. On 29 March 2004, they officially became members of the Alliance, making this the largest wave of enlargement in NATO history."
