Why Is Everything Liberal?

I don't think it is so much they don't care, they just don't let the petty bs politics get to them. Bottom line, no matter which party is in charge, who is president, who sits on the Supreme Court, etc., things in this country don't really change that much. So, why do so many go off the deep end every time there is a change?
This. Conservatives take political loss in stride, generally with a more level headed perspective. Liberals are almost by definition more passionate about their ideals, more easily swayed by emotion.

It's true though, nothing changes all that much, regardless of who is in power. I do think this administration has its sights set on changing that. As long as the pendulum keeps swinging every 2-6 years, america will survive and remain a pretty good place to be.

Dude. Conservatives just stormed the fuking capitol with the intent to overthrow the election and possibly kill the VP. Take loss in stride? Bitch please.

I have a lot of family and friends from both sides of the isle and, as far as I can tell, the red friends are generally happier. And by happier, I mean they're the ones that, again as a general blanket statement that is not applicable to everyone, don't get bent out of shape so easily about little shit or shit they cannot control.

A lot of my blue friends seem angry at society in general and go off the deep end over a LOT of stuff they have no control over or just the slightest thing.

Many of my blue friends cannot stand the thought of Trump, anything republican, etc. and get very angy/upset.

My blue friends don't like the thought of Obama/Biden, anything democrat, but they'll, generally, just say "guys an idiot" and move on.

I find this strange.

This is so true.

If we do foreign aid, we better give to both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Both sides of the isle. It's bipartisan.

I don't have a single friend/family member who I would consider today's conservative (meaning a die hard Trumper) that is ever happy. They are always pissed off about something the imagine is being done to slight them.

A few of my blue friends/family are similar, but overall they are far happier and more relaxed.

The biggest difference that I can find, those I know who are red watch a TON of cable news (guess which channel) and those who are blue are watching sitcoms, sports, whatever else.

Agree with this. The right looks for reasons to be pissed. My blue friends and family members puzzle at the what used to be our friends and now family members we tolerate for their hateful attitudes toward social issues and politics.

Since the Orange Turd has continued to throw gasoline on the fire, it has realigned some thinking, ostracizing some of his former believers, but still others would drink his Kool Aid and follow him off the cliff.

Why can't they step back and consider if he were taken out of the equation, what the scenario would be. How the world would be so much better off.

50-50. Lolz. Republicans are mathematically the minority party. Voters to representation; republicans are horribly over represented.

Jesus Christ are you two seriously trying to score points against each other about which team, red or blue, is happier? When did we become a society of 16 year old girls?

When I first saw the title to this thread I sang it in a Sound of Music voice. Reads very funny that way. I pictured Julie Andrews singing

Why is everything liberal?
Is everything liberal todaaaaaaaay?
[dances from the entryway to the stairs leading to the second floor]
Oh, I wish it wasn't so liberal
So that flowers could grow on the beach
And dandies can sing
And do horrible things to little girls
[Prances halfway up the steps and in a euphoric burst sings]
They are Nazis!
Horrible, horrible Nazis!
They worship Satan in black masses
They're pedophiles wearing maskses

To hear the rest you'll have to attend my upcoming off-off-way-the-fuvk-off-Broadway production of "Mary Poppins Blows a Liberal."

1. Liberals control 95% of media.
2. Liberals control 100% of Hollywood/ entertainment
3. Liberals control big corporations. The ones they don't control will eventually get cancelled unless they bow to the woke liberal culture mob.
4. Liberals are slowly gaining control over sports. Watch ESPN for 30 seconds.

The two things the liberals don't fully control...
1. The U.S. Senate - Liberals are currently passing laws to add states to gain permanent control.

2. U.S. Supreme Court - Liberals are currently looking to add just magically enough new members to gain control for probably for the next 50 years.

I don't know there. When I go places I always see clinton yard signs and Hillary flags hanging off the back of pickup trucks. Clearly the liberals just can't let it elections go and hold on to them months and years after they are over.

My honest answer:

I think (in general), liberals look at the world and identify things that can be better and work towards improvement/progress (as they see/define it).

I think (in general), conservatives look at the world and identify things that could be worse and work towards saving/preserving/restoring them (as they see/define it).

I still see at least a dozen or so Trump signs on my way through southern Wisconsin for work every week

Uh Jan 6 disagrees

I still see loser Trump signs every time I drive in rural areas.
I still see loser Bernie stickers (worn and peeling) on the bumpers of beat up old Priuses and Honda Civics driving to and from work everyday.

Pretty much this.

If they lose, they change the rules.

Your assessment about liberals is good but your assessment of the modern day conservative is wrong, they are only interested in what is good for them at anyone else's expense.

This had to be purposeful satire, right?

Well done! I laughed.

I have found the opposite. Also, when you say conservative then put (meaning a die hard Trumper) that doesn't necessarily define my conservative friends.

Even die hard Trumpers I know we can go to the bar and someone say something about Biden (usually me to get a reaction from them because it's funny) and they can say "that idiot asshole is going to ruin the country" and be done with it. My blue friends will get angry with the mention of Trump and go off the deep end until you tell them "I don't want to hear about it anymore".

This was their schtick, after the far left types (who most of the time voted Green or other anyway) protested after Trump won in 2016.

They can't let go of their schticks, even when reality intrudes on them. A work acquaintance who's a Trumper made it 24 hrs talking about how Trump voters would react mature and calmly blah blah blah to Trump losing before he hopped on the stolen election bandwagon.

1/6 isn't even the real response here. That was more the equivalent of the protestors who blocked freeways after Trump won. What's really scary is that majorities or near majorities of Republicans in polls still say the election was stolen. Talk about Sore Loserman's.

They're just so comprehensively full of shit. Are still on their bullshit even since November. I mean, it's completely unprecedented for a clearly defeated candidate for President to not concede. It's third world banana republic type nonsense.

Do others share your sense of humor? I wonder if that's part of the issue.

I don't understand the reference. I don't bring up Trump in front of most of these blue people I talk about because it ruins the mood no matter what we're doing. THEY bring him up.

I usually try and change the subject by saying "if y'all would have listened to me and voted for Gary Johnson none of this would have happened".

We have one of the most conservative societies in the western world - I'm pretty sure "everything" isn't liberal.

It helps if you watch Tucker Carlson, NewsMax, OANN etc... to help shape your perspective. Then you will clearly see the issues of liberalism.

Would like to see the 411 on this, Mr 311.
