I think it is more like 25/50/25. I am in the 50 category, and happier for it.It’s not 50/50. It’s more like 33/33/33. The third category being independent or not affiliated.

This. Conservatives take political loss in stride, generally with a more level headed perspective. Liberals are almost by definition more passionate about their ideals, more easily swayed by emotion.I don't think it is so much they don't care, they just don't let the petty bs politics get to them. Bottom line, no matter which party is in charge, who is president, who sits on the Supreme Court, etc., things in this country don't really change that much. So, why do so many go off the deep end every time there is a change?
Dude. Conservatives just stormed the fuking capitol with the intent to overthrow the election and possibly kill the VP. Take loss in stride? Bitch please.This. It's true though, nothing changes all that much, regardless of who is in power. I do think this administration has its sights set on changing that. As long as the pendulum keeps swinging every 2-6 years, america will survive and remain a pretty good place to be.
I have a lot of family and friends from both sides of the isle and, as far as I can tell, the red friends are generally happier. And by happier, I mean they're the ones that, again as a general blanket statement that is not applicable to everyone, don't get bent out of shape so easily about little shit or shit they cannot control.
A lot of my blue friends seem angry at society in general and go off the deep end over a LOT of stuff they have no control over or just the slightest thing.
Many of my blue friends cannot stand the thought of Trump, anything republican, etc. and get very angy/upset.
My blue friends don't like the thought of Obama/Biden, anything democrat, but they'll, generally, just say "guys an idiot" and move on.
I find this strange.
1/6 says your full of shitThis. Conservatives take political loss in stride, generally with a more level headed perspective.
Yeah, they generally take political losses in stride. Except for 1/6 and the whole "Stop The Steal" campaign post-election.This. Conservatives take political loss in stride, generally with a more level headed perspective.
I don't have a single friend/family member who I would consider today's conservative (meaning a die hard Trumper) that is ever happy. They are always pissed off about something the imagine is being done to slight them.
A few of my blue friends/family are similar, but overall they are far happier and more relaxed.
The biggest difference that I can find, those I know who are red watch a TON of cable news (guess which channel) and those who are blue are watching sitcoms, sports, whatever else.

Where is this island? It sounds neat.
I don't know there. When I go places I always see clinton yard signs and Hillary flags hanging off the back of pickup trucks. Clearly the liberals just can't let it elections go and hold on to them months and years after they are over.Dude. Conservatives just stormed the fuking capitol with the intent to overthrow the election and possibly kill the VP. Take loss in stride? Bitch please.
I still see at least a dozen or so Trump signs on my way through southern Wisconsin for work every weekI don't know there. I still see loser Trump signs every time I drive in rural areas.I don't know there. When I go places I always see clinton yard signs and Hillary flags hanging off the back of pickup trucks. Clearly the liberals just can't let it elections go and hold on to them months and years after they are over.
I still see loser Bernie stickers (worn and peeling) on the bumpers of beat up old Priuses and Honda Civics driving to and from work everyday.I still see loser Trump signs every time I drive in rural areas.
1. Liberals control 95% of media.
2. Liberals control 100% of Hollywood/ entertainment
3. Liberals control big corporations. The ones they don't control will eventually get cancelled unless they bow to the woke liberal culture mob.
4. Liberals are slowly gaining control over sports. Watch ESPN for 30 seconds.
The two things the liberals don't fully control...
1. The U.S. Senate - Liberals are currently passing laws to add states to gain permanent control.
2. U.S. Supreme Court - Liberals are currently looking to add just magically enough new members to gain control for probably for the next 50 years.
I took down my Biden sign as soon as he was declared the winner.I still see loser Bernie stickers (worn and peeling) on the bumpers of beat up old Priuses and Honda Civics driving to and from work everyday.
I see loser Trump flags to this day in my suburban Detroit city.I still see loser Trump signs every time I drive in rural areas.
Your assessment about liberals is good but your assessment of the modern day conservative is wrong, they are only interested in what is good for them at anyone else's expense. My honest answer:
I think (in general), liberals look at the world and identify things that can be better and work towards improvement/progress (as they see/define it).
I think (in general), conservatives look at the world and identify things that could be worse and work towards saving/preserving/restoring them (as they see/define it).
Says someone who is for the party thats pushing for voting bills because of non existent voting fraudPretty much this.
If they lose, they change the rules.

Um, no.This thread proves that both sides are mirror images of each other
This had to be purposeful satire, right? This. Conservatives take political loss in stride, generally with a more level headed perspective. Liberals are almost by definition more passionate about their ideals, more easily swayed by emotion.

It doesn't seem strange to me. What you've described seems like the exact perspective that I would expect you to describe based off of my familiarity with you as a poster. The red friends probably have bigger peens too.

This was their schtick, after the far left types (who most of the time voted Green or other anyway) protested after Trump won in 2016.This had to be purposeful satire, right?
Well done! I laughed.
Does your family that think Obama/Biden are idiots think Trump isn’t?
Jesus Christ are you two seriously trying to score points against each other about which team, red or blue, is happier? When did we become a society of 16 year old girls?
I have found the opposite. Also, when you say conservative then put (meaning a die hard Trumper) that doesn't necessarily define my conservative friends.
Even die hard Trumpers I know we can go to the bar and someone say something about Biden (usually me to get a reaction from them because it's funny) and they can say "that idiot asshole is going to ruin the country" and be done with it. My blue friends will get angry with the mention of Trump and go off the deep end until you tell them "I don't want to hear about it anymore".
Do others share your sense of humor? I wonder if that's part of the issue.
We have one of the most conservative societies in the western world - I'm pretty sure "everything" isn't liberal.
Would like to see the 411 on this, Mr 311.1. Liberals control 95% of media.
