Will Shaverr has entered the transfer portal. Hawks offered him out of high school.
I vaguely recall his name. Does anyone know if IA staff built a tight relationship / was at all close to landing Shaver?
That’s encouraging. At least had a visit planned & a top 5 finish it appears. Stiff competition.Shaver picked up a scholarship offer from Hubert Davis on May 16, 2021. He committed to North Carolina on June 3, 2021 after completing his official visit the day before.
Shaver originally had visits set for Wake Forest (June 4-5), Purdue (June 18-19), Kansas (June 23-24), Virginia Tech (June 28-29), and Iowa (September 4-5), but clearly didn’t feel the need to follow through on those.
Respectfully, I have a better chance of hitting the powerball than Iowa landing on of those guys, let alone both.It would be interesting if we picked up two UNC offshoots via the portal (Shaver and Tyler Nickel). Both were previously recruited by Iowa, and both planned visits (but apparently never took them).
Disrespectfully , thats not even remotely close to being statistically true.Respectfully, I have a better chance of hitting the powerball than Iowa landing on of those guys, let alone both.
I know, right? It would be like getting a quarterback and a tight end from Michigan.Respectfully, I have a better chance of hitting the powerball than Iowa landing on of those guys, let alone both.
The powerball is like a 1 in three hundred million odds.I know, right? It would be like getting a quarterback and a tight end from Michigan.
