Snyder should go back to Tervel. Cael and Co have really dropped the ball with him.
I don’t know if it matters. I think Sadulaev is just better.Snyder should go back to Tervel. Cael and Co have really dropped the ball with him.
i don't think it would matter, but shouldn't this be Rosselli instead of Tervel? Rosselli was the guy in charge during his ascension and peak.Snyder should go back to Tervel. Cael and Co have really dropped the ball with him.
been around a long time. he's the guy who knocked JO out of the olympic qualifier. Not sure if anyone else is interested in things like this, but I think it's pretty cool:
He’s now like 3rd all time in total medals and tied first for golds, right? and he’s only like 25? (There’s been some debate as to his real age, if I recall correctly)dominant performance from sadulaev. zero holes in his game. the most complete wrestler i've ever seen. father time might be his only serious opponent going forward.

Is Snyder getting better? Legit curious with your thoughts here.Lol JV then snyder not getting better. How many hawkeyes made the team and dont say gilman he’s not in your club. Guess your kids are all weak/not good enough/ jv.
I"d say yes. He isn"t dropping matches to anyone but the Russian. In 2018 and 2019 he was. If you have ever wrestled, sometimes attacking isn't the smartest thing to do. He stole one, and its been all Sadulaev since. He is trying strategies but sometimes the guy is just better. Is Snyder getting better? Legit curious with your thoughts here.
Losing to Sharifov is an extremely legitamate loss in the '19 worlds. The losses were extremely sparse and I'd argue he hasn't wrestled anyone to the likes of Sharifov since his move (I could be wrong but I don't have time to go research). I'm forgetting who is other one off loss was to.I"d say yes. He isn"t dropping matches to anyone but the Russian. In 2018 and 2019 he was. Wasn’t he absolutely decked by Mohamaddian in 2020?I"d say yes. He isn"t dropping matches to anyone but the Russian. In 2018 and 2019 he was. He was teched by Mohammadian from Iran.Losing to Sharifov is an extremely legitamate loss in the '19 worlds. My point, there really is no evidence to suggest he's improved since his move. The gap is not getting any closer between Sadulaev and him IMO.
He should have lost to the Iranian in the semis as well. He got outwrestled for 5:50 of the match and his opponent got overeager on the edge.He was teched by Mohammadian from Iran.
Edit...beat me to it
Yeah this is getting overlooked a bit. Snyder had no business winning that match. It looked almost as if he had conceded before Goleij inexplicably tried for another pushout. Not a great performance by his standards. He should have lost to the Iranian in the semis as well. He got outwrestled for 5:50 of the match and his opponent got overeager on the edge.
Feels like he hasn't trained a second on par terre at NLWC....also Goleij the young Iranian had Snyder beat in the semi's except for a last second brainfart. I'm guessing he passes Snyder by next year.Snyder should go back to Tervel. Cael and Co have really dropped the ball with him.
Who exactly has he beaten since joining NLWC? He was teched by Mohamiddian while at NLWC as well.I"d say yes. He isn"t dropping matches to anyone but the Russian. In 2018 and 2019 he was. olympics yes, but he actually had the tougher side here. Goleij was the third best guy in the bracket imo.Very good draws in the Olympics and this weekend…that said, nobody is beating Sadulaev.
Kyle Snyder is and has been a beast, and he's been a great rep for U.S.A. Wrestling all along the way. He's had a great career if he never does a thing from here on out, so kudos no matter what happens from here. I suspect he'll keep at it, seems to enjoy what he does.Yeah this is getting overlooked a bit. Snyder had no business winning that match. I'm not sure a change of scenery changes much. He's always been somewhat one-dimensional. If you can handle his power and pace, his attacks are pretty easy to scout. I don't think he's gotten worse at PSU, but I also see no evidence he's gotten better either. Looks like the same guy to me (which in his defense is on pace to be one of the greatest ever lol).
Tougher side of a much weaker bracket.olympics yes, but he actually had the tougher side here. Goleij was the third best guy in the bracket imo.
Great career no doubt but back to back sound defeats by Sadulaev and with no end in sight may actually push him to MMA. The F*** staters actually posted somewhere on a FB page how Gilman "won gold only because of where he is now" I am pretty certain that everyone here nows what horse shit that is. Matter of fact, I would go so far as to say. If he had not attended IOWA, he would have never had the success he now enjoys!i don't think it would matter, but shouldn't this be Rosselli instead of Tervel? The difference is in his attitude, how he carries himself. Once his spiritual malady was overcome, he straightened out mentally and physically. The F*** staters actually posted somewhere on a FB page how Gilman "won gold only because of where he is now" I am pretty certain that everyone here nows what horse shit that is. It is the IOWA STYLE that makes him who he is, and without it. He does not win the gold. So are those same people going to say that Snyder should go back to Ohio St. because he did win gold there and beat the Russian Tank????
Answer is of cause not!
Like I said, then Snyder I guess, is just the opposite? What about Taylor? Gliman wins because of the way he learned to Wrestle at IOWA!The difference is in his attitude, how he carries himself. Once his spiritual malady was overcome, he straightened out mentally and physically.
Gilman made the changes he thought were necessary to get better. His arrogance has dissipated. For the first time he was a champion on a world stage, and he acted like one.
Why can't it be both. He rounded himself out and kept and added to his strengths and eliminated or hid some of his weaknesses. Those who claim that PSU made him who he is are just as wrong as those who claim Iowa made him who he is. Both places contributed and that is a good thing. It would be just as silly to claim his high school coach is the sole reason for his success.Like I said, then Snyder I guess, is just the opposite? What about Taylor? Can't we just be happy for him and the USA?

I would ask them if I were in a conversation with them. I am just happy that Gilman seems happy and he is continuing to be successful on the world stage and and he represents the USA.Ask the PSU fanboys that question. Rest assured, had Burroughs gone to the NLWC last spring, these Penn State trolls would be proclaiming JB as another Cael miracle. They are shameless.
