I was thinking about not including NDSU in the field, but that would be dumb.

Even with them out, still doubt I would vote yes?

Iowa would probably have on-par to better talent than most of the teams it would play. But the schemes and game-day coaching of Iowa are inferior. Hell, we see it every year, a team that has no business hanging with Iowa beats us or makes us sweat like Ball State.

If you really believe that, you are as smart as the wall I'm banging my head against after reading this thread.

No way. We have a .237 winning percentage against FCS teams over the past decade under Fartentz.

We have a 100% win rate against FCS teams. Some of you need to think before you spout off. It's painful to watch some of you post.

The conversion to the new format clearly erased the log of posters on the 'ignore' list.

I think it's an interesting question. Would Iowa still be favored against all teams? Yes. But this hasn't been a very good squad in recent years, and the limited success has been due to playing in a favorable division of a conference that really hasn't been outstanding. And for a team that largely 'plays to the competition,' I seriously question they don't lose one they shouldn't during the 1-AA playoffs.

Look at Kentucky in the NCAA Tourney for basketball. Even money vs. the field, but in that format you play there are progressive challenges. I didn't bet anything, but I predicted the field on that one. In fact had Notre Dame over them in my bracket. Almost made me look like a genius. And lets face it, Iowa is a mid-level FBS team at best right now. Should they win it all in FCS hypothetically? Yes. But I don't know that they would.

Playoffs? They wouldn't have a shot at making the playoffs after crapping the bed the first games of the year while the uncoached players try to learn the playbook. 7 or 8 wins if they play less than 2 ranked FCS teams. 3-4 wins if their schedule has a majority of top 20 FCS teams.

If Iowa were to win the FCS title it would be as an At Large bid because there is no way they'd win the MVC.s
