And good beer!!From what I have heard is, good trout fishing.
I'm hoping that will change this off-season! I was really hoping we'd pickup an assistant coach who is a monster at the middle or even heavy weights to fix some of our offensive issues. We suck at offense at 149-197...Kennedy has regressed in our room in my opinion. His offense is nowhere near where it needs to be to be a title threat anytime soon.
To continue this discussion, I'm glad Caliendo is a Hawk; seems like a great American and he's clearly an impressive wrestler. But when I look at the resumes I don't see what some of you are clearly seeing that I'm missing. I see that Caliendo AA'd by taking a MUCH EASIER route to AA than the route PK had. And given the same route, I'm quite confident PK would have AA'd. And throughout his career I see Caliendo having one very impressive win against Shane Griffith, the same Shane Griffith who also lost to the kid from Oregon State twice before he got back on track. Anyhow, some of you are putting a lot more into that AA and I'm just not seeing it. I'm hoping they'll both be animals and one of them can shrink to 57 and Franek can shrink to 49. And of course I'd love to see the Hawks give you guys a run for it, but just don't see that with our current teams...Tell me you’ve never seen Caliendo wrestle without telling me you’ve never seen Caliendo wrestle.
I didn’t watch Flo videos of Caliendo. I’ve seen him wrestle in person a half dozen times or more. I’ve also talked to his former head coach about him and I sat at the table watching him go against O’Toole. To continue this discussion, I'm glad Caliendo is a Hawk; seems like a great American and he's clearly an impressive wrestler. He wasn’t very highly ranked in high school, I think mid 50’s, but has really blossomed in college, like the upper weight kid who transferred to PSU from cal poly. I agree, it seems PK may have regressed a little in his offense since his make in who’s number one.I didn’t watch Flo videos of Caliendo. I’ve seen him wrestle in person a half dozen times or more. I am confident in saying that Caliendo will be the starter at 165 for the Hawks this year

GTFOOH, this is Cesspool, your logical conclusions will not be tolerated! This probably means you think PK is better than Amine and Hamiti and Ramirez. Predicting PK to now level up in year 4 might be a stretch while Caliendo is going into year 3 and could leave up being in the Iowa room.
You are just now starting to think that????Maybe Nelson will be ineligible. I am starting to think PK and Nelson might both be involved, but that is just a total gut feeling.
I don't know that PK's route to AA and Caliendo's route was a wash. 10 out of 10 times I would have rather taken Caliendo's route, But I get it. In the end may the best man start for Iowa!I'm totally good with you picking Kennedy. I have been focused on the "relatively easy" part and what logic is causing you to arrive at that determination. And hey, if at the end of the day, it's just a gut feel--so be it.
Kennedy's best win at the NCAAs was over the #27 seed and he didn't beat anyone who made the podium. He lost to #11 and #4, and only #11 made the podium. Caliendo beat #8, #12, and #15. #12 made the podium. He lost to #9 and #10, and #9 made the podium. Seems like a wash to me. I don't think your point that Kennedy would have made the podium had the seeds been reversed is a bad one.
And I respect your point of view my friend. As long as we have our best 10 men on the mat and have the best chance to do good things at NCAAs...it doesn't get any better than that.I didn’t watch Flo videos of Caliendo. I’ve seen him wrestle in person a half dozen times or more. I’ve also talked to his former head coach about him and I sat at the table watching him go against O’Toole.

Interesting perspective...I've assumed that Caliendo didn't move to Iowa to have a wrestle off Kennedy and a 50/50 chance of making the lineup. He's either a 174 or pk is ineligible.
I thought it was the widely accepted perspective.Interesting perspective...

There will be hot shots and third generation Cesspoolians claiming they did know and touting, “I told you so.” When in reality, they didn’t know Jack Squat.
Better known as the Cesspoolian Shuffle. You forgot about the people who claim to “know” yet got it from the internet and/or from their buddy who got it from the internet. We’ve already seen that from at least one poster.
I don’t know crap, for the record.
I have no clue.At the end of the day we’ll find out. Those who know can’t say and won’t claim to have ever known.
