Absolutely no question who the best lightweight coaches in the country are.
Why is anyone surprised??? Just another lightweight that the best freestyle coach in the country coached up to win... Its par for the course and shouldn't shock anyone in the least... Just wait til Clark gets healthy!

If you are RBY or Teasdale, I don't know how you don't reconsider Iowa if you have freestyle ambitions.

Who cares who did the odds? All those guys are biased and have a clear motive to not give credit to Iowa in any way. I'm sure that will change now though....
Remember when Flo ranked Cornell and Okie state ahead of Iowa as lightweight U? There's a clear motive to not give Iowa any credit.

Sorry. I LOVED Tony as a Hawk. How he left, to me, is the antithesis of what our program has been about for the last 3-4 decades. The grit, resolve, & unwillingness to back down to anyone (including a training partner), is why I love Hawkeye wrestling as much as I do. Stabbed the program that made him who he is today in the back. I hope Gilman forces him into retirement.
If Tony loses, who does he place the blame on this time? Can't wait to find out! Show him how mud holes are really stomped, Thomas!!

I'm sure Ramos didn't think Gilman had any chance of making the finals. I'm sure he's more worried about the finals tonight than Thomas is.
He [crablegs] did come back and eat crow like a man.
Tony wrestles way to close and defensive. Thomas is going to take this tonight!
Every single HWC guy is wrestling well. Our coaches might just know what the hell they are doing. Hopefully recruits and senior level athletes are taking notice

Don't get me wrong, I want world team members as much as the next guy, but no wrestling club is going to get more than a couple of those guys. Top 4 guys in the country are more than most training environments have
I never got you wrong bruh! I totally agree with you though. Coach em up and let them wrestle. This is what we pay our coaches for.
