WTT Senior Brackets out

To make the world team i believe you have to make top 2 in the challenge tournament (3rd on the ladder). So win 3rd place PLUS a true 2nd match - if eligible. I think this is how it works although I could be misremembering.

I never got you wrong bruh! I totally agree with you though. Coach em up and let them wrestle. This is what we pay our coaches for.

How much of an influence is Perry making on the guys this weekend?
I haven't been in the room or talked to anyone face to face since Perry started, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt having another set of knowledgeable eyes on these guys.

Don't get me wrong, I want world team members as much as the next guy, but no wrestling club is going to get more than a couple of those guys. Top 4 guys in the country are more than most training environments have
Isn't the NLWC going to accomplish that?

You have two guys in the finals and I'm not sure either are favorites. So your best case scenario is a couple. You have other high level guys, but they're not better than 3/4 at their weights right now.

What club does Molinaro rep now that he's left NLWC? Is he with Titan Mercury?

In honor of an epic Ramos vs Gilman match tonight... here's an interview from Ramos after trials two years ago. I'm cheering hard for Gilman tonight but you can definitely see some similarities in Gilman's and Ramos' personailities and mindsets. Especially when Ramos talks about training for the world not for the trials, because that's what Gilman said in his interview today. Really reminds me of how much I liked Ramos back then. But I don't think I could ever see Gilman whining and complaining though if he got beat by his teammate. Gonna be an exciting match.

It was a serious question. I have Retherford and Taylor top 4. So there's two. Jason may be top 4 after today no? And I thought Molinaro was still traing at the NLWC.

He did get beat by his teammate his freshman year. He learned from it and supported Clark that year.

He didn't bitch or transfer. Took it like a man and made the most of his time at Iowa. Look where he's at now.

I know what you said. And when I asked if the NLWC was accomplishing that I counted Frank. I also assumed Zain and Taylor would make the team. And I also felt Jason had a shot.
You could put two on the world team which is not easy at all. I expect Nolf and Hall to also contend down the road, but there will always be stiff competition at this level. It's possible the NLWC could put 3 on at some point, but not this year.

Sorry I don't know this. Why are guys from HWC all associated with TMWC? What's the ties with Titan?

Titan Mercury funds America's best wrestlers from any rtc. They are the same people who put on beat the streets, and basically drive the funding to send American wrestlers to tournaments all over the country. They aren't a training center though.

Gilman handles losses like a man as he displayed at NCAAs this year. I was a huge Ramos fan and supporter and was even cheering for him in the match vs Dennis, but after how he handled the loss, I've lost all respect for him.

Let's go Gilman!
