Intelligence isn't hard. Zelensky is a jew with a law degree. His father was a professor and his mother was an engineer. Trump, we've seen, hasn't much of an intellect. Any standard measure of intelligence I almost guarantee Trump would be smashed by Zelensky.

Trump is bereft of the sort of morality we expect in a leader. Zelensky has displayed quite a bit of it.
And imagine how Trump might behave in a country like Ukraine, with little in the way of democratic tradition, norms or constitutional guardrails. Trump would be a Putin like character if he could get away with it.
Zelensky is by all indications the superior human being.

So the big negotiations today was about the rare earth resources from Ukraine. It is located in Eastern Ukraine where Russia is already occupying. During the shit show Trump mentioned how the US barely has any of these minerals and would need them to make products and such. With how this is going and how he says the US has all the cards, do you think Trump and Russia have a deal in place already for these rare earth minerals? The many convos before this meeting with Zelensky basically laid out how Trump will be approaching this on how he thinks this is the best course for these resources. Trump is doing this to save face to NATO but will take the deal of least resistance for these minerals which is with Russian occupied locations?

It just got me thinking Trump and Putin may have a deal worked out on where all the rare earth is located in Ukraine. I’m just trying to make sense of our stance right now and what does the US gain with Ukraine currently or Russia.
I don’t like what Trump and his administration is doing on this issue at all. They talk diplomacy but it is more bullying than anything on trying to get something the US really wants. Trump is a very selfish human who only thinks about what’s in it for him and guess where the rare materials are in Ukraine and who occupies that land?

So if you go read Zelensky's bio and see Jewish Lawyer/Professor/Engineer odds are pretty good that he might have something going on upstairs.

I've seen Zelensky butter up Trump plenty. Go back to his comments after the election. What happened is that Trump started talking shit -- mostly likely because he's an amoral idiot that better identifies with someone like Putin than someone like Zelensky -- and Zelensky finally got fed up enough and shot back.
You could argue that ultimately wasn't great strategy, but it's completely justified and is laudable where truth and morality is concerned. So it's easy to see where someone like me might take his side on this.
