I get that angst is the norm, but what loss was really some underperformance? Both Peterson and Block are freshmen coming off major injuries and weren’t exactly the highest level of recruits. I get that you want more, but expectations may have been artificially inflated there.
After that, the Teemer injury isn’t something you plan for. So, it comes down to Kueter. I was hoping for more, but I came out of the match more remembering how good Bastida is on his feet than Kueter not being that good. This is the same guy that beat Hendrickson 12-7 last year, so I am willing to cut Kueter some slack for now.
With that said, Iowa is still really good at 133, 149 and 165-285 and hopefully they can add 157 back to that column by NCAA’s. The sky is still up there and is in no danger of falling…
