Deadbeat Donny up to his old tricks

Some people are very slow learners:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Grand Rapids says the Donald J. Trump for President 2024 campaign has refused to pay more than $49,000 in bills for two rallies in the city this year.

That is forcing the city to write off those expenses as uncollectable and to reevaluate policies for future campaign visits.

The unpaid invoices are for two rallies that drew thousands into the city, both at the Van Andel Arena.

Grand Rapids billed Trump’s campaign nearly $33,000 for his rally in July — the biggest chunks for overtime for police and its public works department.

The bill was due in October and went unpaid.

“It’s highly unusual to have outstanding bills, especially with someone who clearly had raised enough money from their campaign to pay their bills,” said outgoing Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss.

Spend as much time with your kids as they'll let you!

"As a parent, 90% of the time you will ever spend with your kids happen during their first 18 years."

Took the daughter to a concert tonight at Billy Bob's Texas. I recognize there will soon be a time when she'll no longer prefer to do things with me, so I'm getting in as much as I can, while I can!

For reference, it was the Josh Abbott Band.

Revenue Sharing

When revenue sharing starts.

1. Will student athletes be classified as employees or independent contractors?
2. Will their pay be public record?
3. Can the university fine them if they violate university policy?
4. Will student athletes unionize?
4. If they do unionize, will there be a collective bargaining agreement?

What a bummer of a season

It seems Iowa can never live up to what people expect but when they don’t expect big things is when they shine. Next year I am sure they will be rated to finish in the lower half of the BIG abut this is where I like it, low expectations no pressure, then Iowa seems to shine and play great football. Will see what happens as it’s a long way off but they have the pieces to be a pretty good team and maybe a sneaky team. They need better athletes in the defense backfield and more explosive wise receivers, however I really like the RB room as well. If they can get better pass protection on the line I think they will be alright.

It sure sucks they lost in the way they did but they’ve been doing it all year long. If you were to tell me they would finish 8-5 last year I would of said you’re nuts as most had us at 11-2 or 10-3 but they’ve been doing weren’t that close. Let’s hope for some more better play and better luck next year as I think we have the pieces to be a pretty good team. Still a season that “could of been” but shit happens…
