Reynolds goes after Winneshiek county sheriff for wanting to uphold constitution.

Shouldn't surprise anyone given her adherence to making Iowa nazi.

2nd watch: Kylie guarded the effing hell out…

Of JuJu in the early 3rd quarter and EVERYONE they put her on (Kylie) or rotated her to she was awesome. But everyone was in JuJus face all 2nd half. She was stumbling, losing her balance and just flat had no room. I’ve watched her several times this year and I’ve never seen her struggle to keep her feet like she did in this game.

Actually I was so jacked up during this game starting it, stopping it, pausing it, leaving the room, etc. I didn’t get a good look at what actually happened.

HS didn’t play from the 3:30 mark in the 3rd quarter on and had actually been causing them problems.

AOG and Taylor played their best games defensively and Lucy was unstoppable. She was shooting over everyone.

Taylor S had a couple great interior passes.

This game was well officiated, but USC could have been called more.

SA I’m seeing now also played JuJu well.

The thing about JuJu is this. She is a very strong, fluid, down hill player. She will be a great combo 2/3 in the WNBA, but she is not a “great” athlete. Those that suggest she is or a “better” athlete than CC are making assumptions 🤷‍♂️ if you are up in her space on the catch, she struggles to get space. If she “has” space your in trouble. You are NOT going to knock her off a drive. But if she has to create space on the perimeter you can see she lacks true explosiveness. She’s also not a “great” shooter. She’s a good shooter, but where she is lethal is getting downhill. If you give her space because you’re afraid of her playing downhill, yes she can shoot over you. But she still “leans” into the shot like most women from 22 ft.

It’s absolutely crazy how strong CC must be to shoot the way she does. She is also more explosive than she gets credit for. Her lateral quickness is average but her speed with the ball and ability to get separation is otherworldly.

Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland - Could you live here?

Ittoqqortoormiit is a remote settlement in eastern Greenland, situated near the entrance to Scoresby Sound, one of the world’s largest fjord systems. It is one of the most isolated communities in Greenland, with a population of around 350 people. The climate is Arctic, with temperatures ranging from -22°F to 50°F (-30°C to 10°C), long, harsh winters, and limited daylight for much of the year. The settlement has minimal infrastructure, with no road connections to other towns and only a small airstrip for flights, which are infrequent and require a helicopter transfer from a nearby station. Internet access is limited, and there is no traditional cell service. Transportation primarily depends on boats in summer and dog sleds or snowmobiles in winter.

Trump is badly misreading today’s economy

The United States still has an inflation problem: Prices have risen 3 percent in the past year, according to the latest data. It’s not the kind of hair-on-fire situation that Americans experienced in the summer of 2022 — remember 9 percent inflation? — but it still hurts. Prices for eggs and auto insurance have skyrocketed. Those for gasoline and other groceries are rising, too.

This was supposed to be the year when inflation would return to the Federal Reserve’s 2 percent target. Instead, it is heading back up and will worsen if President Donald Trump keeps his promise to impose widespread tariffs. He took another step in that direction on Thursday with his proclamation that he will soon unleash reciprocal tariffs on many nations.
What’s going on in the economy now is whack-a-mole inflation — akin to the carnival game in which a mole pops up, the player pounds it down, and then another pops up somewhere else. Ever since the coronavirus pandemic began, Americans have seen crazy price spikes — including for toilet paper, rental cars, used cars, gas, utilities and rent. For much of past year, rising rents were the big item. They are finally showing signs of cooling off, but many other things are suddenly getting pricier. This whack-a-mole inflation heightens Americans’ anxiety about what prices will soar next.

The price of eggs has surged 53 percent over a year ago, and auto insurance has shot up 12 percent. Whenever some particular thing pops, there’s always an explanation. The egg supply has been reduced by avian flu that has forced farmers to kill more than 40 million chickens. A big driver of the hot January inflation turned out to be goods prices rising again after months of trending downward. Meanwhile, the cost of auto insurance is rising in the wake of rapid increases in car prices and repairs, as well as a jump in the number of cars damaged during natural disasters.
