General Milley said all military recruitment went down after Trump timeline set and deal with Taliban for Afghanistan withdrawal, and general distrust that leadership has military families interest in mind. But I guess CBS 60 minutes is MSM, so General Milley's interview can be discounted.

My brother graduated from West Point, career Army, and he understands Trump as the worst thing for America.
My brother in law graduated from the USNA, was a Top gun aviator, went back to Harvard for his PhD, served as the second in command of the VA for a few years under GWB, the went back to private industry. He was offered the top spot at the VA by Trump but had to turn it down. He's doing quite well in the private industry and couldn't afford to take the job.

He likes Trump, supported him in 2020, and will again.

Then Harvard should take the degree back, or else this guy should get deprogrammed. However, it's nice to know that Penn State fans can be just as nuts as some Iowa fans. My friend from West Point is not so crazy, but he is quite conservative. He's going for Haley this time after he held his nose and voted Biden last time. He says that no one with half a brain should ever vote for anyone associated with the Trump cult.

BTW, did you hear about the death threats that conservative lawmakers received because they didn't vote for Jordan for speaker? As someone else said, this Trump cult is bat shit crazy.

Interesting that none of you brainwashed Trump sheep showed any interest in placing bets on whether Trump gets guilty convictions in the criminal cases with the loser paying the HWC.

While it wouldn't be my 'style', don't really care that much if an indictment is "politically motivated". What matters is whether there is sufficient evidence to indict, be it by a politically motivated prosecutor or not.
As long as that same standard is evenly applied, I have no issue with it either. It hasn't been.

How about this, I will pay for how many of the 91 felonies he gets convicted on if you pay for all of the 91 felonies of which he is acquitted?

My kind. You mean patriots? That’s funny. As opposed to the snowflakes who get the vapors from even small doses of reality? Be gone, seditionist. Or maybe just block me so you’re not forced out of that cultish echo chamber.
Just take this into consideration, the same news outlets you seem to want to believe as solid contributors to objective news declared Israel as the bomber of the hospital in Gaza. Want to check those facts now? No retractions - no apologies because people like you forget and move on to the next instant hit.

That's because they think that the trials are rigged, just like any "contest" that Trump might lose. This gives them an excuse in advance for losing, and a reason to overturn the process, enabled by the cult.

When your starting premise is that you will always win if the competition is fair, then every contest that you lose will be seen as one where you've been cheated. Standard Trump playbook.

well...that hasn't been for a lack of trying

republicans have knee deep in politically motivated investigations back to bill clinton...their problem is they never seem to find anything they can actually charge and prosecute

Again, what exactly are these "cult views"? You still never answered that. All of your cult crap is hinging upon your stance on Trump's actions during January 6th. But, that has nothing to do with "cult views". For the time being, lets extricate that part since we don't agree on the actions being seditious and/or treasonous.

So, what political views are so cultish? Please enligten me....

Just curious, how old is your brother?

Mine is 68. He was full army during Carter and preferred Reagan. Lives in Texas. Hates voting Democrat. And yet...

Another reason everyone's vote counts during the secret ballot.

I think power lifting also improved at the end of the Carter administration.

Two people who refuse to condemn Trump and instead said they'd support him if he were the GQP candidate.
Yes - and so would I. I don't want the man (Trump) in because of the chaos around him. But only a fool (or a democrat) would say life is better now than under those polcies. The half truths and edited material that is reported and posted gets people like you all in a funk. It's tiresome. Simply amazing that you prefer politicians who earned generational wealth through the selling of influence (10% to the Big Guy), creation of fraudulent foundations, and insider trading. Guess they just need to be sneaky little bastards, hmmm?

You keep thinking that is the reason.

i'd say it's not necessarily any of the political views, per se

it's more like what grapplefan notes above...any contest that trump loses is rigged or fixed (and that phenomenon started well before 2020)...any person that opposes trump is corrupt or incompetent (even though they were often appointed to positions of power by trump)

i'm not usualy ranting about trump cultists, you'll notice...but if you're looking for signs of it - i'd say that's the closest

update: see the comment directly above. nothing can just be taken at face value...everything is the result of some conspiracy or some evil plot specifically designed to take down trump and shield everyone else

Exactly. And these people are too dumb to realize they're the rubes and being grifted and manipulated by a narcissist. If they took an elementary psychology class they just might realize what's happening to them.

The truth is there are rules about going after a sitting President. Nixon is the only other one that had legit proceeding before Trump and he basically admitted guilt and stepped down from office.

For all the bad you can say about Trump, once he won he backed off Hillary completely. It wasn't that they kept looking and gave up. They basically stopped altogether. It just wasn't something that had really every been done before.

Please tell me what major, long term investigations were done on Democrat Presidents after they left office?

I've already answered this a multitude of time. I'm done attempting to reason or put logical arguments in front of you when you've shown you throw logic out the window when it comes to your tribalistic support and sympathy for thr GQP.

You can't reason with the unreasonable and it's very apparent that you and the other MAGA here are unreasonable people.

There it is. Telling.
How is that telling? You guys tout the 91 felonies. Why should I lose if he gets convicted of 1 of the 91? So you should get 90 out of 91 chances to win and I get 91 chances to lose? How does that make sense? You are twisting the narrative here beyond measure.

I am willing to make a bet. You just don't like the bet. We can change it a bit if you want. If he is convicted of more than half I pay. If he is convicted of less than half you pay? Since, there are 91 chances, that should be very easy with no ties possible....

i was referring more generally to politically motivated investigations, not solely limited to former presidents

and if we're interested in actually doing something about all the political corruption everyone (especially trump supporters) are always screaming about, the fact that they just stopped pursuing investigations and prosecutions after the election is a BAD thing. that's not a thing that earns you credit in my book

makes a pretty good case that the investigations are only intended to harm someone's electability, not to actually prosecute and hold people accountable for their actions or make impact on the level of political corruption.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. If you don't see MAGA as a cult at this point, there's a good chance that's because you're in it.

Cultists don't recognize their cult as a cult.

I doubt that. This sort of delusional thinking is self-reinforcing. I think that everything (insults, losses, news reports, etc.) only pushes the paranoia and reinforces the delusion. This is why cults are so insidious. Telling them how stupid they are (and I've done it too) will only make them double down on the lies. It's a tough problem to beat, and Liberals won't do it with self-righteousness.

Just pure stupidity. Not all charges are equal. There are single charges that could effectively put him away for life. If he is guilty of one charge and put in jail for years, of course you'd be the idiot out there screaming "see he was innocent of all of these other charges. He was right it was a witch hunt! Great man!".

Just pure stupidity and you've shown time and time again you'll twist yourself in a pretzel to apply the dumbest logic to your arguments.

LMFAO, great deflection. You have NOT listed any radical political views. All you are calling a cult is that they give unwavering support to Trump because they believe the election was stolen and, more importantly, they 100% believe he believes it was stolen. That has NOTHING to do with cultish political views. Now, where I will admit cult behavior is how blindly and unwavering most of the are with following him and basically every word he says. Many admittedly do not think for themselves.

Mind you, to be clear, I DO NOT believe the election was stolen. However, our fundamental difference between all this stems from my belief that Trump ABSOLUTELY BELIEVED 100% that it was stolen. That belief is the core part that decides whether or not he committed any insurrection, sedition, etc. Because, if that actually were true, it means the statements had no seditious or treasonous intent and ALL he was doing was asking/begging/pleading for people, including the people in power like Pence or the Georgia contingent, to do what was in their power to stop the fraud and investigate to prove he was correct.

With that said, I do think he was wrong, although things were done right before the election that I didn't agree with to change voting rules and regulations, I DO NOT believe a conspiracy was remotely possible at the national level to fabricate hundreds of thousands of votes to steal an election.

I love your type of responses and name calling. I hope you realize that doesn't help your argument? I never said all charges were equal. Do you want to pick specific charges to bet on? You are the one twisting the narrative on betting. Whether we believe he did wrong is completely different than being willing to bet hard earned money over 91 possible convictions.

It simply isn't a prudent bet to give you 91 chances and have to run the gauntlet 91 times for me to win. Can't you see that?

I agree with you. I try to appeal to individualism and rejection of tribalism (or keeping tribalism contained to harmless things like sports fandom), but that doesn't seem to be compelling to most people.

do you think trump really thinks the 2016 iowa caucus went to ted cruz because of voter fraud, as trump said at the time?

i'd be inclined to agree that trump believes the voter fraud STOP THE STEAL stuff if he didn't do the same thing every time he loses, whether its an election or a court case...it's always unfair or rigged or stolen

and if he really does blieve that every time, he must just think he's fundamentally incapable of losing fairly...which would mean he's delusional or some other kind of psychological issue

Right or wrong, it had always been a "good ole boy" system. In the case of Hillary, I absolutely believe Trump had enough to go after her, but backed off because that is what was expected. Bringing her down had the potential to bring down a large part of the "system" as whole.

Meanwhile, you fast forward to Trump. He did so many things to alienate and buck the "system" that many no longer cared about "the way things are done". In many ways, I think his attitude and mouth got him here. He has shown an open disdain for anyone that disagreed with him to the point that he insulted and ridiculed beyond what is acceptable. That is 1 thing that him and VODKA have 100% in common!

Now this, I 100% agree with. I fundamentally believe he is such a narcissist that he cannot believe he would legitimately lose. I think this was bolstered even further with his winning the 2016 election after every news outlet and poll had him getting destroyed all the way up until the votes were counted. This bolstered his belief that everyone out there was lying against him.

Again, I have stated over and over I don't like him and hope and pray he goes away. I just don't want the Republican party left in shambles because of it. The party itself still more closely represents my core beliefs than anything else out there by far...

i just don't know how you honestly say that trump didn't prosecute hillary out of legitimate, good faith respect for the political system and a hesitancy to upset it

you ascribe a level of nobiliity that I cannot square with reality

in my opinion, there are other, much more cynical reasons that prosecution was abruptly abandoned that are far more likely and follow trump's pattern of behavior

I am ascribing zero "nobility" where he is concerned. Once he won, she became an afterthought. She was no longer an obstacle and it wasn't worth his time to proceed and change the way things were done when it no longer benefited him to do so. It was now time for him to create his "legacy" as that was all that mattered to him, being a 100% megalomaniac, narcissist...

There was plenty of fraud, I had a friend who worked with Amistad. And I live in Pa., I'm familiar with what happened. It's just a shame they cheated a mentally incompetent on the take politician. One who wasn't smart when he had his marbles.
Amistad is a right wing conspiracy group out to defend Trump’s attempt to overturn the election in PA. They lost every court battle.
