Hurray, perhaps TNT have finally taken my advice and started quietly recruiting in Eastern Europe. I'm telling you, it's an untapped gold mine.

Also, there appears to be some serious stomach flu going around.

It looks like Imran is from Massachusetts and is a 197 pounder. He wrestled for Rhode Island College and is two years removed from HS.

Also, not only is Stoll listed at 215 but he is listed at 6'3".

I'm sorry but times have changed. Put the best wrestler on the mat. Redshirts are line-up pawns for another move. Strategic. Kids are more college ready more than ever. If so lucky to have a kid wrestle 4 healthy years=great! Otherwise have that save a year for injury or line-up adjustment. It's a new age.

Sounds like for the returning guys they didn't change the weights from last year (yet?). The Stoll at 215 thing was up all last season.

If you're talking about hawkeyesports.com, this is last year's roster. It still has the graduated seniors and those who have transferred to other schools. Even when it's updated I doubt the weights will be correct; it's almost as if Iowa posts the wrong weights on purpose just to mess with us.

Check out his match results from last season; his lowest weight that he participated was 184 vs Nate Jackson in the Iowa/Indiana dual.

Iowa is notorious for not updating weights, so I wouldn't look too much into it.

He will wrestle Gravina (Rutgers) and Lee (Illinois) before PD3 takes over. This will give a good indication on if he is AA material. On paper he is probably 7th best in the conference. I'm also not Gobblin.

I agree with this.. Bowman is a scrapper and would/will be a very tough out for those outside the top 7 or so though, IMHO. I could very much see him having a Carver magic type match if he gets the opportunity.
