Our current starting offensive line is very young and their youth is showing up on the field. I took a quick peak back at previous years recruiting classes to better understand why we are playing so many young guys. I think much of this is by necessity due to misses in the 2019 class.
2018 Oline recruiting class: Linderbaum (wasn't originally recruited as OL), Ince, Plumb, Jenkings
2019 Oline recruiting class: Britt, Fenske, Endres, Miller
We whiffed in 2019 outside of Britt and it's showing up on the field. In the trenches is where you want old, seasoned men, not young kids.
When you take this few a number of offensive lineman in back to back classes, you better be pretty confident in your assessment of their future skills.
