2022 Recruiting (1 Scholarship Left): Jaxon Kohler & Josh Dix VISITED Sep3, Tyler Nickel Sep17. Aidan Shaw VISITED Jun23. Kyle Filipowski to Duke

That is so unathletic lmaooo
Not sure I am following...so apologies ahead of time if I misunderstood, but Bowen and King are both VERY athletic. Mulvey is decently athletic for a young post player. The other two may in fact be below average athletes but with very good skill sets...just my best take based on what I have read and the video's I have seen.

You keep reaffirming my thoughts on your brain prowess. You’re an absolute idiotic doofus. Bowen is very athletic, as is King. Mulvey is athletic for 6’11 center, and he can stretch the floor. Nickel is a solid athlete. Sandfort has a very good skill set, and will be a nice sharpshooter in the future.

Hopefully we get Bowen and Nickel on campus soon. Those are the 2 guys I really want.

I hope Bowen sees potential playing time, especially with Toussaint being a senior when he would arrive.

I still wonder if anyone will take the free covid year (like dumb ass Davison at Wisconsin is doing). So, in theory, Toussaint might not be a "senior" after all; he could play in 2023-2024, as well.

April 19, 2021 Update:

With the CJ Fredrick news (he gone) and the commitment (and reclassification to 2021) from 3 star Center Riley Mulvey, we currently have 4 scholarships left for the 2022 class. In Men's basketball, of course, you can have 13 on scholarship.

ONE ADDITIONAL THING TO MONITOR: due to covid-19, 2020-2021 was considered a "free year" by the NCAA, so seniors Luka Garza and Jordan Bohannon could have come back for the 2021-2022 season. So, anyone listed below as SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND SENIORS could potentially play/graduate a year later than CURRENTLY expected.

Seeing other kids commit without making it to there respective campus', see King as an example. Why not Iowa?

In @TomKakert 's latest podcast, he mentioned how Fran likes to fully vet prospects and wants to make sure they are a good fit in the locker room.

I think this is (1) why there has not been much activity in the transfer portal yet and (2) why we haven't signed anyone yet for 2022 (kids don't seem to be in much of a rush, either).

If you were a 2022 prospect, would you commit now or would you wait less than 2 months (June 1), when you can see Iowa city, the campus, the facilities and future teammates and coaches in person?

I think if we could get that First commitment for 2022 from a Bowen, Nickel or Filipowski it would start the ball rolling for others to follow. I understand that most kids are waiting for visits to open up again but it only takes one quality player to lay the ground work for an outstanding recruiting class.

Hope you are right

Did you read the article linked in that tweet? Said he seemed to hold a special affinity for Iowa as things stand now...
Haven't we heard that about 17 times over the past 11 years and lost them when they signed other places?

How many times have we heard that in the past? "I'm so blessed to have received an offer from Iowa. I have a great rapport with the coaching staff and Coach McCaffery and can't wait until I can visit the campus." And then they sign on with a different school. It's become predictable.

He didn't say that, the writer said it.

So when I asked if anyone read the article. I guess the answer is no. Yet you are all in criticizing mode. Figures.
