You get what you earn pk. When you let it go late with amean and don’t take a shot in the first period this is what you get. Looks like we never learn. We did the same thing with marinelli at ncaa’s. Your reward will be the loser of carr and griffith
Bad shot by Pat, gave up the easy counter which is what Amine was hoping to do.
Another match where I question if we had any sort of strategy going into it. He wrestled Amine’s match.
Can we pull off the upset for a change? Thanks

Extremely disappointing to watch 4 years of Marinelli doing this at nationals, only for it to continue with PK.
At least season long talk about what we could do to win it should have a fork in it. It was never a legit discussion.
Completely agree. Not to dog TNT, but we have way too many matches and performances like this. This is not an anomaly but rather something consistent.
We have to get better upper weight coaches/ HWC partners. I just don't see Kennedy closing the gap. We have too many grinders.
My opinion, which means nothing, is Iowa needs new blood in the assts working with the upper weights.

Pat is in reality a grinder too. A higher end one but that's what he is.
Agree 100%. PK looked like he had zero idea how to create any type of angle. Don't deserve to win when you can't take a single good shot. Bummed about that performance.
We only have 1 guy from 65 up (cassioppi) that isn’t a grinder. They all try to make it a one takedown match against anybody good.

You people are just saying nonsensical crap now. Watch literally any Kennedy match besides the one that just happened and you'll see Kennedy takes a plethora of shots every match. He has easily one of the highest attack rates on our team (not saying much) and he just clearly didn't wrestle a good match against amine

Guys, come on. Amine was allowed to wrestle the ENTIRE match keeping PK away and never engaging. The one time PK shot, what happened? What exactly do you thing PK was supposed to do?
PK chased and stalked and Amine kept him at bay the entire time. As long as he is able to wrestle that way PK either has to make it sooo obvious to get the ref involved or be just as patient as Amine.
It is the one situation, and probably the only, where it looks like the Brands coaching style falters. You can’t always force your style on people. You have to be tactical in certain situations and adapt. Even if it goes against your norm. This was the exact same tactic Amine used on Alex…learn from it by now.
