Hopefully that's a good first step towards fixing the line. Left guard and Center with no guaranteed money left if I read correctly.
Not sure about him being the best use of cap space but he was in Detroit with Ben so that probably played a partWe are taking all his salary…. Not sure it’s that great of deal. Scherff or bust
Can he play centerNot sure about him being the best use of cap space but he was in Detroit with Ben so that probably played a part
LOL. Look at the picture. Can he play center
I had thought he switch to guard for some reasonLOL. Look at the picture.
Yeah no idea. It would be good if he was a multitasker though. Bears line's injury history would support this.I had thought he switch to guard for some reason
He was an all pro guard in Detroit - played a little C last year and wasn't great.Yeah no idea. It would be good if he was a multitasker though. Bears line's injury history would support this.
Jenkins will end up a first team All Pro for whatever team signs him. Not because I think he has some kind of terrific future but because this is what happens to the Bears.Bears have a ton of cap space; so pretty low risk trade here. He's owed $17.5m this year, but next year isn't guaranteed. Don't care about what CBS rates the trade; but good write-up here. I wonder what Tevin is looking for. Guessing in that range, or slightly lower; but I don't think they will bring him back now. I really wish he could stay healthy, as I think he could be an all-pro G.

Jonah Jackson trade grades: Bears acquire former Pro Bowl OL from Rams for 2025 NFL Draft pick, per report
Jackson spent just one season in Los Angeleswww.cbssports.com
He will sign a one year prove it deal, be an all pro, sign a big deal, then he will get injured again.Jenkins will end up a first team All Pro for whatever team signs him. Not because I think he has some kind of terrific future but because this is what happens to the Bears.
My guess is this is totally about Johnson being comfortable with him being a full time guard again. He was an all pro guard in Detroit - played a little C last year and wasn't great.
Uh…what are we giving up.
And again, could have had Scherff who still grades out very highly, for less money and more years.![]()

The Bears are trading a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Chiefs for two-time All-Pro guard Joe Thuney, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday.www.espn.com
Opening up the draft options a bit; but he is on his final year. Wonder if an extension will be in the works. Assuming he moves back to guard, that’s $33m between him and Jackson
*pro bowl as a late add alternate. I like the signing but he's never been all pro.He was an all pro guard in Detroit - played a little C last year and wasn't great.
I don't think he can stay healthy enough. This was a prove it year for him and he couldn't stay on the field.Jenkins will end up a first team All Pro for whatever team signs him. Not because I think he has some kind of terrific future but because this is what happens to the Bears.
Really curious if they're going to spend big at center (Dalman) now that they're spending in the upper levels for both guards for 2025? They're still 2 starters short on the oline as it's unlikely Braxton Jones will be ready by training camp. It would be a reach to think they can definitely draft 2 starters at the two toughest oline positions in LT and C... I just hope the plan isn't Ryan Bates at C and Kiran at LT.
I couldn't find a recent update on Braxton Jones - Ian Rapoport had him back well before training camp (4 month recovery) after the surgery went well.Really curious if they're going to spend big at center (Dalman) now that they're spending in the upper levels for both guards for 2025? One of the more informed bears podcasts (Hoge and Jahns) mentioned it the other day. They're hearing it will be close for training camp. Poles alluded to it as well and mentioned LT being a spot where they expect a competition. I'd be fine with a healthy Jones at LT given the other upgrades but as is it's a need. Can't run Borom or Kiran back out there again unless we're down to our final guy or two.I couldn't find a recent update on Braxton Jones - Ian Rapoport had him back well before training camp (4 month recovery) after the surgery went well.
Nice catch on my all pro vs pro bowl on jackson error. I still like the move as well.
I think the key is to give a light extension to spread some money out, and keep these from being one year rentals.![]()

That would be a much better line, but they still need to use one of the 2nd round picks on an o-lineman. They need depth, and they need guys who will be on the roster past 2025.Fingers crossed they’re targeting Dalman too. Bates is not the answer at C. I don’t think the Yale kid is going to make it in the league—bust.
LT - Draft (or Jones)
LG - Thuney
C - Dalman
RG - Jackson
RT - Wright
That's a great signing.Drew Dalman to the Bears 3 years 42 mil - surprisingly reasonable
I still hope their first three picks are LT, DE, DT, in that order. This opens up a lot of options for Chicago in the draft and it will be interesting to see what Poles does in the rest of FA. I'm not betting on any HUGE signings but guys that can fill depth on smaller contracts - like a cheap #3 WR, for example. Dline depth.
Awesome! Time to start putting together lyrics for Super Bowl Shuffle 2 😁Drew Dalman to the Bears 3 years 42 mil - surprisingly reasonable

If the DE is graded higher than the OT, I would go that route. Jones is a "serviceable" LT. I don't even know if there's a LT at 10 that beats him out. Can Will Campbell when everyone is worried about his arms? I don't know.I still hope their first three picks are LT, DE, DT, in that order.
Would accept.LT, Kaleb Johnson, DL
Maybe Poles has figured out to not overthink things…hired the obvious coaching candidate, invest in the trenches, etc. this shouldn’t be rocket science.Wow, the Bears have wasted little time revamped the OL
color me surprised to me the organization do what every fans knows they need
