****2025-26 Chicago Bears Thread 🏆****

He definitely won the room. The guys on The Score can't find a negative when I have been listening. Even Bernstein.
He is such a sniveling douche. I remember when he spent days on end railing about the introductory press conference of Dan Campbell when the Lions hired him. He railed and railed on him about being a meat head. Then he started to win and Bernstine is one of his biggest cheerleaders.

Over the last 5-10 years, he's really turned in to a giant grump.

I like to think i have good grammar but good lord can he just use normal words.. him using large words to sound smart irrationally gets on my nerves

Well, clearly you didn't go to Duke like he did. Did you know he went to Duke? He's mentioned it once or twice.

The Score has a great stable of regular guests. When Holmes was paired with Bernstine I tuned him out to listen to Holmes. Laila Rahima makes Wednesdays very enjoyable. The afternoon show is much better with Holmes teaming up with Spiegel.

I listened when Boers was still around... those two had mostly good chemistry and I think Terry kept Dan in check. Since Boers left Dan has reverted back to being an insufferable prick 90% of the time. I'll check back in once in awhile and usually don't last more than a few mins. Mully and Haugh are about the only decent show on the station.

I haven't listened nearly as much last year simply because the Bears were awful and I hate listening to the same complaints over and over again. Now that there's some optimism back, I've been listening more. As much as bernstein sucks, hes still a good interviewer and really knows his NBA, which is rare. Layla is great. I miss Parkins and Spiegs, those guys were the best.

I don’t know that I care for the karma (see last sentence)

Doyle, meanwhile, becomes the youngest current coordinator in the NFL. He's coming off two seasons as Payton's tight ends coach with the Broncos, and previously worked alongside Allen as an offensive assistant for the Saints from 2019-2022. Prior to his first NFL job in New Orleans, Doyle spent three seasons as an offensive student assistant for the University of Iowa

Hopefully they hire his dad too!
JFC, no. Put aside his personal liabilities when it comes to working with young black men, he hasn’t worked in a serious capacity in S&C for 5 years.
And, again, millionaire athletes wouldn’t put up with him.

Be nice if Campbell falls to bears.
Milroe that high?
Qbs rise...but surprising.
They just said that Doyle is nephew of Mike ditka?
Sounds wrong.

Jeanty would be great, but I don't see how the bears cannot get OL help

Or get Kaleb in the 2nd
Yeah, I like Jeanty but he’s not near the level of RB prospect we’ve seen that went high first round in recent years. Bigger priority is OL or DL, and I’m okay with trading down if their top choices aren’t there.

Most mocks I see have them taking Will Campbell.

Jeanty would be an AWFUL pick. Unfortunately, Poles is a f*cking awful GM, so that’s probably what they’ll do.

Not sure id describe him as awful.

He’s made some moves I think are good but where hes been bad has been building the lines.

I think DeAndre Swift was terrible this year but the OL didn't do him any favors. The guy goes down after getting hit by a feather. They need an RB1. I wouldn't it past them to take one as Detroit did with Jahmyr Gibbs in the first round when Johnson was the OC. That pick was widely criticized but he looks like he may be the 2nd best RB In the league behind Saquon.

Obviously would prefer they draft an OL in the 1st. Not sure Kaleb makes it to the 2nd round

Will be very interesting to see what they do in FA

Hard to say regarding Swift - both as a consequence of the line play like you said but Waldron in particular was terrible with his scheme. I still can’t figure out what he wanted the offensive identity to be.

He fleeced the Panthers and somehow got DJ Moore as a throw-in. Aside from that, I struggle to find many good moves.

The offensive line thing isn’t just a few bad moves, it’s a philosophical thing. Strengthening the lines should have been his focus from the start. In the NFL, you build from the inside, then move out. He tried to do it in reverse.

Sadly a common mistake amongst young GMs.

Overall I think he made good moves defensively and at skill positions; in the trenches is where he failed the most.
