I think if Fran decides to offer Dietrich Richardson, he would be a strong candidate - though there seems to something unsaid about Richardson. I’ve seen folks calling him the best player in Illinois this year and the only visit I’ve seen that he has scheduled for the fall so far is Wyoming.

Looks like Iowa is also getting a visit in the fall from Mazi Mosley, a Top 50 guard in the 2025 class. The staff is putting in work on the recruiting trail!
How many offers made for the 2025 class by the Hawks? I get that offers don't mean a lot, but getting visits is more interesting.All these offers are just hyperbole. Wake me up when someone is signed, sealed & delivered.
Visits are not all that interesting either. Maybe 1 in 7 that visit sign, at best.
For official visits, more than 40% of the players who visit Iowa end up signing with the Hawkeyes.
Talking all visits (including unofficial where they pay their own way) or just official ones?
According to TOS, you can add Indiana-based big man Dezmon Briscoe to the list of players planning to take an official visit to Iowa City this fall.
I initially looked at only the past 5 years, but looking at the official visitor data on this site for the past 10 years, it’s actually 50% (23/46) of official visitors signing with the Hawkeyes.
Odd characterization of an official offer.
40-50% commitment rate for official visits is really impressive. I had no idea it was/is that high. Makes one pay closer attention to the official visits when you know 1 in 2 on average will end up committing.
Iowa offered 6'7 PF Trent Sisley two years ago, on July 9, 2022.
He unofficially visited Sep 10, 2022 (Iowa State football game).
He officially visited Sep 29-Sep 30, 2023 (Michigan State football game); this was his first ever official visit.

Well, and that would also include some guys who get offered late and take an official and commit immediately to the hawks.
This isn’t a recruiting slight by any means. Iowa State does it to. But when looking at guys like Kayden Fish (took official visit, Iowa State only high major offer, accepted) vs. Jamarion Batemon (took official visit, accepted, but had all kinds of offers) those two things just aren’t the same at all.
I think Sisley is a MSU or Purdue lean. Would be shocked if Bynum goes anywhere other than Cornhole U. Talked to a friend in Omaha that also feels that way. That would be 0 for 2. Fran would need to hit on a couple other visits to hit the 50% hit rate.

What is the percent of total offers from Iowa that officially visit? Seems like offer numbers have increased the last few years.

I'm serious, how much do the top prospects charge in order to be listed in the final 5-6 schools?

Most of the high end prospects cancel the visit. A large share of the commits. Iowa was the best offer they got. And the visit was a formality.
