2025 MBB Recruiting Thread

Definitely a very large freshman. Not sure how much game Kai has, but plenty of time to develop it and tighten up that big body.
 
Sorry because this doesn't belong in this thread and maybe has been discussed before, but Raef Lafrenz' son was an 8th grader last season at Decorah Iowa and is currently 6'8 or 6'9.

Might be someone to watch, although he's very thin.

I agree 100%. Almost every kid over 6' is skinny going into HS, and many shorter, too. He'll catch up when he starts maturing.

Carter Kingsbury--a 2021 6'5", 230 lb shooting guard; on July 10, 2021, it was announced he would be joining the roster as a preferred walk on. Carter ended up redshirting the 2021-2022 season so he is now scheduled to graduate in 2026.

Amarion Nimmers--a 2022 6'3" combo guard; on April 30, 2022, it was announced he would be joining the roster as a preferred walk on.

Malachi Moreno will be unofficially visiting this weekend. Malachi was offer #7 of 7 total offers Fran has handed out so far for the 2025 class. Iowa offered on Aug 24, 2022. Rivals reports him with offers from Iowa, Purdue, Ohio State, Cincinnati and Missouri.

JT Rock & Cooper Koch will be in town this weekend as well.

I see Trey MeKinney is also visiting this weekend. Has a Michigan offer already and said the offer is the offer he really wanted. Probably taking an unofficial to see the Wolverines. Kid is a phenom out of Flint. Plays for Orchard Lake St. Marys which is 45 minutes from Flint.
