I would also put Slovenia a close second! Sometimes first! What other country can take you from the Alps to the city to the Adriatic in just a couple hours drive?

Absolutely. Really enjoyed my time there and I probably could get citizenship as my great grandfather was born there. Not sure why I would want to do that though as I think there is a language fluency requirement that would be impossible to meet for me I think.

Slovenia is incredible. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel through a fair amount of Europe and always agree that Slovenia is near or at the top.
