Agree or disagree: We need to recruit a dual threat QB

Why would any dual threat QB come to Iowa? They're going to go to a school that runs the spread and read-option. That's the type of O a dual threat QB is most suited to run. Iowa doesn't play that system so they'll never attract high-quality dual threat QBs. At the time of Brad Banks, most teams were still running some variation of a pro style offense. Not any more.

And how much time will Doyle take off his time? And will that make him closer to dual threat?

Also Speed, you didn't address my earlier question about what I've heard about Peyton. Would appreciate if you'd give me your thoughts. I hear he moves well and is by far the most accurate thrower.

But I also hear he's so cocky it's a down fall. Just looking for another point of view.

Thanks Speed.

In a pro style O, What matters is aQB needs to know when to tuck it and run and have the foot quickness to pick up some yards - speed helps but a QB with just speed isn't always your best scrambling QB.

Folks often have perception of cockiness when in reality sometimes it is just a very confident person. Not saying this is the case, but I've seen it often when someone thinks a person is cocky and in reality they are very confident and they expect same level of confidence from their teammates
