Listened to it on the radio when he dropped 60! on the hawks in a Purdue loss.......Rick Mount scored those points over THREE YEARS! Back then freshmen weren't allowed to play. Amazing shooter!

As mentioned above, Luka probably needs 3 NCAA Tournament games (and 78 points) to PASS #6 Rick Mount of Purdue.
Luka is averaging just under 24 ppg for the season,
Rick Mount (1968-1970) was an amazing shooter and scorer. He got to 2,323 points in just 72 games over three seasons. He had a 32.3 ppg average for his career (compared to 18.0 ppg for Luka). Rick's career average is by far the best in B1G history.

@combes @IlliniHoops91 @Fighter of the Nightman @Booty Maximus , over the last 4 months we have been discussing Garza shooting up both the Iowa & B1G ALL Time scoring lists. I am surprised there are not more Illini players on the B1G ALL Time List.

on that list of 29, how far back can you go where you remember the person playing? did you see Rick Mount play, for example?Illini have historically had pretty balanced teams, especially their better teams. Usually 3-4 guys all between 10-15 ppg. This year is a little unusual with Ayo and Kofi scoring so much. And of course neither will stay around 4 seasons to move up on these lists. Have to have that specific balance of being good enough to play early and play well, but not good enough to leave early.
Garza, Weisy, JBo - 78 points, 2 games at 40 per game (Sweet 16)
Mount 2,323, Garza 2,246 - 78 points, 4 games at 20/game (Elite Eight). Go Hawks!

its too back there is not more video of some of these legends
thanks for the feedback; its always s interesting to talk about not only the greats from your own school but from across the B1GMount was before my time. On that list I guess Just Barely Carroll is the earliest guy I remember watching. Or Just Breathing Carroll if you prefer. That dude had the laid back personality.
i updated that thread; and look at the gap he has created on the Iowa All Time 3's Made ListSo where is jbo on all time big ten threes list?

So he finishes up with 2306 without making it to the S16.I'm predicting he finishes with 2312 ...unless we make it past the S16.
