Yes, certainly see some potential in Amarion. His athleticism alone gives him a chance.interesting; this is the first time I have heard that Nimmers played zero defense in high school.
granted they were just the highlights and we didn't see the lowlights, but weren't you at least a little impressed in what you saw in his highlights posted in the original post?
Have also stated that I could see him carving out a niche, in a system like Iowa's, as a gunner off the bench, a year or so down the road.
I don't know anything more than anyone else. Just trying to connect the dots.
There has to be a reason why a country full of well paid coaches hasn't offered this kid. Say he actually doesn't play D, and actually doesn't have a good PG feel/skill set. Then, if he happens to lack any one of team play, work ethic, attitude; I think you have your story.
As to his situation at Iowa; who knows? You'd have to think playing time/scholarship are at the top of the list.
This is starting to feel like Amarion wants to be shopped for while retaining the chance to stay at Iowa. It's certainly late in the game.
We'll see, I guess. Was Amarion invited to Europe?
Did he possibly break a rule and was left off?
If Amarion wasn't invited, was it because of performance, positional traveling numbers, or possibly character issues?
Does he get along with Brock? I'm sure they've seen a lot of each other over the years.
Maybe he knows Diggs is commiting soon and he's calculating the numbers game?
Who knows at this point?
I wish Amarion well either way.
And I think Iowa is fine either way
