New years Day 2018, Rose Bowl: Georgia #2 seed vs Oklahoma#3 seed. Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield taking on his toughest test yet.

Sugar Bowl: Clemson#1 seed and defending National Champion vs Alabama#4 seed in the trilogy. Can Clemson destroy the aura of the Nick Saban deathstar and make many BIG fans happy?

Um yeah, why would anyone who's a football fan not watch those games? Great excuse to drink all day, as well.

Yes on the beer, bear and football.

After all the complaining of the teams that got in, these should all be very good games. We have no football for a longtime after this so it's our last chance to avoid a few chores and to do lists.

Depends if I find anything better to do or not. Not that I'm trying to make any kind of grand statement or anything, but this is pretty much how I do every bowl game that doesn't involve Iowa or a Big 10 game. I'll watch it if there isn't anything more interesting to do.

I would rather watch an 8 team B1G playoff. That should be for the real National Champion this year. Rest of America kind of sucks in fball this year.

Will watch parts, not all. If the horror of Georia vs. Bama happens for championship, no.

Normally wouldn't miss it but I'll be fishing all weekend on the Columbia River for walleye. Recording both playoff games so I will watch it later.

Never happen, two teams from the same conference playing for the National Title.

Oh wait, it already has. Well it must have been a really entertaining game right?:(

This is why you should have to win your conference to make the playoff, unless the field is expanded to 8 and includes all P5 champs plus 3 at large.

I'm thinking about heading south for a week, to get some fishing done as well.

It's a good idea. Sunday my high will be 27 and Monday is 18. Seriously thinking of fishing Sunday night as week for a big hen but having a hard time finding a buddy that not only wants to blow off NYE but brave the elements in open water fishing at midnight. :)

I'm thinking of heading down to Tampa. My wife is pooh poohing me. If she keeps it up, I might MOVE to Tampa.

No B1G team. No point.

Boycotting the SEC (National) Championship.
B1G teams beat up on each other because there are 3-4 teams at the top. Third place SEC, couldn’t make the CCG, not nearly as good as they’ve been Alabama gets gifted a trip to the playoffs.

I’m over Bama.

When they dump the Confederate Football Playoff for an actual national championship playoff, I'll watch. As for now, who outside of the deep South gives a damn about any of these four teams. I hope they all lose.

If they were being played on New Year's Eve like recent years, probably not. But since I don't envision anything else going on New Year's Day, I'll probably watch. It's college football after all, and I realize there's not many more games left to be played this season and I'll be having to wait 8 months to see it again.
