Saw that Gabe Arnold medical forfeited out of his semi final bout vs Conley from Tiffin. He was rolling thus far in the tourney, I hope it’s nothing serious.

It happens, maybe with the extra pounds he relaxed a bit too much.
He relaxed way too much. But hey, hopefully this is a lesson he will learn. He'll have to face the questions of his commitment, responsibility, and accountability. But these will hopefully build him into a better version of himself. It sucks, but he's a snot-nosed 16 yr old kid. He's gonna make mistakes. Now let's see what come out on the other side.

The Thanksgiving 15 proved too much extra to cut, maybe.

Coach can maybe blame his wife’s good cooking on this one…?

Hell, If my wife would have cooked, I promise, he would have been UNDER weight........ :)
Speaking of weight gain…. My niece’s husband just made a partnership with Ben and Jerry’s for a new flavor. (Change is Brewing.)

I’ve been trying to kick sugar and this ain’t making it any easier. Lol

Who isn't at 16? Better to learn those lessons now.

MUCH better to learn those lessons now. Tough lesson to learn, however, at this stage in his wrestling, and his development as a young man, it's lessons like this that will pave the way for him to become a better person. The fire may be hot, but I have NEVER seen a sharp blade forged without it. At least that's what my daddy used to always tell me.

My Daddy used to tell me "shoot low Son, he's riding a Shetland!". (Ok, my Dad never told me that, it's just an old Western joke, probably intended for Matt Dillion on Gunsmoke or some such thing).

Sorry, carry on..............

Great perspective coach.

My father would say you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take the butchers word for it.
