Most of you probably didn't hear that Austin Ash was being considered for the 3-pt. shooting contest next Thursday before the NCAA games. They were picking 8 shooters. Unfortunately, Austin tore his ACL in Citadel's 2nd to last game. He is scheduled to have surgery April 4th. It looked like the injury
eliminated his opportunity to participate. However, the Citadel shot video of Austin shooting 3 pt shots, after his injury, and he and drained about 15 straight. Yesterday, he received news that he was selected to shoot next Thursday. I think Austin made over 100 3pters this year for Citadel, so a deserving honor, for a great kid and true Hawkeye...let's hope he wins!!
