WOW 2 seniors with that finish to the season. What is wrong with a few of our guys?

Those matches were painful to watch. The kid from Nebraska did nothing offensive.

Dam sure not counting on anything from Kelly or Moore Come the Nationals. What a disappointment at these weights. Go Hawks!!!

Yes. He was in deep twice in the 3rd including having the leg elevated for the final 10-15 seconds. His opponent did much less and won on a riding time point which his ride consisted of holding onto Moore and making absolutely no attempt to turn. Not a single stall warning was called. At one point his face was in the mat and he was holding Moore's ankle for :30 seconds. The result was a stalemate.

Obviously, Nick's effort was poor but that was a disgusting display of wrestling officiating. Just pathetic.

Wow. Not good. Hope Sammy is OK health wise and bounces back for 3rd. If Sammy is significantly hampered by his injury and the limited output we get from Moore and Kelly, winning Nationals with be tough.

Kelly and Moore it is your senior year where is the sense of urgency this is your last hurrah. Qualifying all ten for NCAA is in question now left up to others.

Was Nick Moore the #1 overall ranked recruit in the nation coming out of HS? Has any #1 ever not AA that has wrestled 4 years of college?

There's that wonderful senior leadership we've been looking for. Geesh.
Moore is training through this event. He also has the flu and has lower and upper body injuries. He is a good student and deserves the spot @165. He trained angry and we love Nick
.

Spot on

Now Ironside is opening up.
How many semi final matches are we favored in? 2
Not good.
That's paper. You still wrestle the match
Brooks got beat to a guy that wasn't ranked.
Don't wait until the end.
Open it up.
This isn't rocket science
You shoot to score
Offense creates fun exciting wrestling

Ya that was terrible.. Not to mention him standing holding on to Moores leg for 10 seconds without even a count.

What exactly did Moore do?
Two clean but unfinished shots in the 3rd. He didn't have Nebraska's "hold on ride" so he lost.

Moore has to feel AWFUL.

What a way to go out . . . ridden like a Christmas pony by a guy with almost a .500 record.

How can Moore be a wildcard? He didnt win a match and lost to a Purdue kid with a losing record and a kid from nebraska that was 14-13 that is not a good body of work.

Which proves the point of dont sit on your heels for 6 minutes and expect to pull out a last second take down. An official no matter how poor should not be the difference in that match.

Losing Kelly/Moore this early could really cost the Hawks when it comes to the Big team race. Had thought they would definitely score more team pts in this tourney. Not sure it matters if either gets a WC for NCAA tourney as neither is likely to get past the 1st round.
Ironside is still fuming on the radio stating: "Bottom Line: Our guys have to learn how to shoot." Pretty sad that he is making that statement in regard to 5th yr seniors.

Me thinks you don't understand the meaning of "body of work."

Grace is trying to be optimistic
They still could WC
Ironside's reply:
Here's the thing, Steven. It doesn't matter if Nick Moore gets a WC if he wrestles like that he isn't going to beat anybody.
He lost to two guys he handled easily before.

I think you get the gist of it. I'm done with the quotes. I don't think there's enough emojis to brighten this mood.

On to Sammy Brooks.

Because they don't just base wild cards on the tournament. That's kind of the point. I'd be surprised if he didn't get a wild card.

The officiating left a lot to be desired, but the bigger issue is that Moore appears hurt, making me believe those who are speculating he has a shoulder injury. Putting aside the obvious stalling by the Nebraska, Moore still should have been able to get out but he didn't try to use his hands to break a single grip. He was trying to stand up with his arms in the air, like he was a 125 lber wrestling Robles.

I think maybe he feels relieved.

I made it clear I wasn't impressed with Moore's effort. Your trolls are about as impressive as Nick Moore's tournament.

SPOONER yes I understand the season but his "Body of Work" for today or does that not count for anything??

The whole season counts. Hence the term.

It's Morningstar's job to make Kelly more talented? It's also his fault that Moore checked out a year ago, I guess

M* is a hell of a salesman. That's why he is here. Recruiting. I would say he did a hell of a job this year.
