Retherford might get charged with abuse after that match.
Hall was backing up constantly and got dinged for a stall warning (you know how difficult it is for refs to make this call, especially in the first period). Sorensen was in deep twice and Hall kept tying him up. The second time Sorensen pushed back into his opponent to pick up the neutral/defensive fall with the score 0-0 and 8 seconds left in the period.

Gosh I hope Clark's shoulder can somehow remain strong enough to get his NCAA championship. Injuries are part of sports but man it sucks to see a guy like him have to battle through a tough injury his senior year given he's been in finals twice already and even without my bias as a Hawk fan I have a hard time seeing anyone beat a healthy Clark this year.
How did Sorensen lose. Did he give up the takedown and wasn't able to get the escape?
Great job by Nolf finishing on top the first two periods. He's been just a little better in key situations.
Nolf is better right now, but Kem is only a freshmen. He'll get better and close the gap.
He's probably tired after scoring a total of 5 points in his 2 previous matches.. kid's a staller

Easy for us to say, we don't have to cut the extra 7lbs. Tempting from a fan point of view though. Would also open up 157 for Marinelli.
Hall is a small 174lber. Crazy that he's that good as an undersized true frosh.
It is easy to say they should switch weights, but not all that feasible. It does suck a little that some of our studs are at their studs weights too. I think with their bonus points, even if our guys upset their guys they would potentially still out score our guy as far as team points are concerned.

I know Meyer is very frustrating to watch. We really need to get behind the guy though - 174 is a wide open weight this year.
The Brands were mild yesterday compared to many of the coaches. Some were raving lunatics out on the mat.

Huh? Clark knew exactly what was going on. The other guy was just better. Maybe it was the shoulder but either way, just better.
