No actually. That was a solid blow to the narrative. You all are looking at every little detail to try to erode the optimism the country feels the last 2 days.

The odd part is, I was a D3 athlete, slightly younger than these fellas, and if you just Google my name you find NCAA stat sheets. I googled this guy's name and football and find nothing. I'm not 100% sure this guy registered a stat.

My last word on this: the First Amendment is a restriction on the power of the government. And thanks to those restrictions, long may they live, they have no say in what speech I do or don't choose to allow on this message board. Nothing — nothing — legally mandates whether you people get to embed tweets or not.
As others have noticed, OT is very lightly moderated, and mostly to cover our own asses w/r/t Rivals' TOS on pornography and copyright infringement. That was the choice we made . If we wanted to come down harder, we would have long ago.
So if we do decide to ban links to X, that has about as much to do with "free speech" as the mating habits of sea snails. And certainly, if that's a bridge too far for anyone's sensibilities, I understand. There's a whole other internet out there for you. Or you can keep posting on here about it. Good for the site either way.

Just so the record's clear, you're correct: I never registered a stat, and as podcast listeners can attest, I never claim to have been any good. Buried on the depth chart as a freshman, rightly so, transferred to Iowa the next year. Somehow not invited to training camp. 😂 But I've got the shit right knee and left ankle to show for my time in the trenches, if none of the glory. So it goes.
