Well, when the owner is a Nazi, I have no problem saying people can find another tavern. I think we should eliminate the ability for tweets to show up here, but people can post the links. Less fascist manipulated algorithms like Bluesky should only be given that ability. That is not regulating speech, simply the ease of accessing content on a certain speech platform. I don't want Stormfront to be given easy access either. This is not unreasonable.

I guess if we really have to discuss this as a commercial real estate/bar extended metaphor, I'd think the questions are (i) does the establishment(s) violate the zoning laws and (ii) do they rise to the level of public nuisance that they can be condemned (in the legal sense). In an avenue zoned for speech businesses (ie, this platform), it's hard to say you can't/shouldn't have a speech business. And as far as nuisances go, some people like to go to the sports bar, and some people like to go to the drag cabaret, neither of which rises to the level of public nuisance.
Personally, I'm incredibly thankful that this place is (one of the remaining few) non-social media platform free fire zones when it comes to speech - it actually may be the "best" place to figure out what's going on, though it can involve a little triangulation. I think of it as that street block that runs perpendicular to x ave and bluesky ave in the party district, so you get some of the drunks that stagger over here a bit, but they're easy enough to spot and avoid. I do hope it doesn't get redeveloped for some sort of public library or symphony.

Just bc you aren't the government don't pretend you wouldn't be greatly restricting speech by doing so. And I hope you realize actions like these don't happen in a vacuum.
