Battle for 2nd place in the BIG on Sunday at 5:30

I seem to recall a final second shot by Bohannon resulting in a surprise win at Northwestern a couple years ago...January of '21 I think

Crazy to think this team is 2 wins.... MSU and Wisconsin ... from battling 1st place
Michigan State may be screwed out of an easy win since their game with Minnesota was "postponed". I don't see a place in the schedule where they can make it up. The MSU women's game against Purdue has already been cancelled. I totally understand they had to do that after the tragic on-campus shooting, but it may cost the men a game in the standings.

Cannot wait. Going to be a battle!
Don't forget your shoulder pads and helmets. You're going to need them.

Oh, and watch out for those holding calls too. The officials are really on the lookout for those. ;)

Hawks won by 23 in Jan ‘21 at N’western.

JBo had a buzzer beater three vs N’western in Iowa City (Feb ‘19) capping off a double digit comeback in the final two minutes, 80-79.

This looks ridiculous and I'm not arguing that it is ok, but for those who have officiated, is this technically illegal and what would the call be? Red rover, red rover, let Edey come over.

It's definitely not legal. I suppose the ref could have called a foul on either defender, but that I am not sure.

Here is another one, where Coach Collins grabs one of the other team's player while on the court. I don't think this is legal either. lol

Northwestern is currently looking at a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAA tournament

N'w only scored 64 points in both of their last 2 home wins (over Purdue & IU). Iowa put up 86 against them on Jan 31 in Iowa City.

Whose style will prevail?

Coach on the court touching an opposing player should be a technical, but I am not sure that the guys holding hands on the court is a foul. Was hoping someone who officiates could give an official call, maybe a blocking foul?

Want to know a really depressing thought, Iowa could very easily lose their next 4 games and not even make the tournament.

Considering that NW & Indiana are solidly in Q1 and Wiscy & MSU are right on the border of Q1/2, I really don't think Iowa falls out of the bracket entirely unless the a lot of bubble teams goes on an absolute tear the next 3 weeks. Iowa likely stays in just by their pure quantity of Q1 wins (most of the bubble is between 0-3 Q1 wins at the moment).

Let's not test this outcome out though :)

Classic from that game was the look on the little jNW kid in the stands when the shot went in.

Minny is the only easy game in the B1G, especially on the road. Even Nebraska in Carver is not a gimme. I think they just won at Rutgers, and seem to be playing well.

Hawks are a totally different team when our guards are aggressive. Perkins and Ulis have been playing better recently, and we will need that Sunday and for the rest of the season. I hope Dix makes it back on to the court for some minutes, because he is a valuable guy off the bench.

Bruh, NO WAY Connor, Kris, and Filip are losing their last game in CHA. It could be Purdue and they still ain’t walking off the court without a W.

;)
