What are everyone's thoughts on the best conference this year? If you look at the rankings you would think ACC with 6 teams ranked but have to put the Big 10 ahead of them based on the results of the Big 10/ACC challenge. So that leaves the Big 12 or Big 10. Right now I think I would put my rankings as so:

1a) Big 10
1b) Big 12
3) ACC
4) Big East
5) SEC
6) Pac 12

Right now there's no way the B1G is that high IMO. Room to improve though if Michigan, Indy and OSU keep playing well.

Yeah the win in the Challenge was good but 8-6 is hardly dominating. Kenpom currently has ACC teams in slots 5-9 which is super good. RPI, flawed as it is, has the B12 #1 and the B1G #6. Lunardi has 8 Pac 12 teams getting in as of this moment, while he gives the B1G 6.

Not saying the B1G can't improve because i think it will. The b12 and the Pac will cannibalize themselves like they usually do. But right now the B1G is probably no higher than 3rd. Jmo

These types of debates will sort themselves out come March.

I think ACC, Big 10, and Big 12 are all interchangeable so can see them in any order in the top 3. I don't take much from Lunardi having 8 teams in the Pac 12, if you breakdown the seeds, 7 of those teams have a 6 seed or lower. Their best team is a 4 seed. While they may be deep they're deep with a bunch of mediocre teams.

The bottom of the B1G isn't as tough in the early going as I thought it would be. There are several teams that will be dogs most nights at home.

I agree, the bottom of the B1G looks really bad, like average SEC bad.
