You do realize that it doesn’t matter how good a player is on offense, if he can’t defend and gives up more points and assists to the opposing player playing the same position, the team is not going to do well come tournament time.

Yes, he couldnt defend. He also had a busted shot. He was also injury prone. I was comparing him to Gesell, who didnt play Thursday or the last six years. You seem slow.

Cartwright may have been "able" to defend but he never did.

He would let guys go by him all game.

When Gessel came in the next year the defensive improvement was dramatic.

Alot of these guys can't remember what happened two games ago let alone 10 years ago.

Cartwright was a decent guard in transition thats about it.
