I got a FLO subscription at the beginning wrestling season. I cancelled it at the end of wrestling season.
After I cancelled they even sent me a survey on why I cancelled, so there is no mistake I had cancelled. Despite this I've been charged every month since March. Numerous complaints have gotten me emails saying that everything is fixed and it won't happen again.
Incompetence this bad I don't believe is actual incompetence, It's fraud.

Never do business with FLO. You will spend more time protecting your wallet than watching wrestling videos.
Spread the word!

I have subscribed and cancelled two different times with no issues. They might have some kinks that need to be worked out and your situation sucks, but they aren't fraudulent scammers.

Hey man. Sorry this happened. email vince.barber@flosports.tv and he'll get this squared away, let him know I sent you from Hawkeye report and we'll make sure it's made right. I don't deal with this side of Flo, but we don't want to see this kind of thing happen. -CP

I've been on and off Flo a couple of times over the past few years without any billing problems. Not saying that your issue doesn't suck; sounds like you've been through the ringer with your account.

Flo is easily the best wrestling site out there. My familiarity with the HS recruiting scene is almost completely driven by Flo content. Same goes for my ability to follow the World scene. The general Flo bashing I see on here is lame/tired. Sucks that you had a billing issue; hope it gets resolved. But to suggest that they are "fraudulent scammers" is foolish.

CP...it is really the big rub with you all. Most sites, it's a pretty easy process but it just seems like Flo wants to make it as big a pain in the ass as possible to de-subscribe. Not a good look. I keep it all year around and have for the past three years...too much good stuff.

To each his own, and I have nothing against subscribing to Flo for those who want to do so. That said, I agree with Chief -- Flo needs to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen. It should be just as easy to cancel as it is to subscribe. If Flo gives fans the impression -- consciously or otherwise -- that they're trying to make it difficult to unsubscribe, it's going to alienate fans and hurt their bottom line. It would behoove them to make sure this never happens -- to anyone.

It certainly isn't a goal to make it difficult. I don't really have any answers as to why it's an issue for some. I have no control over it apart from being able to get people in touch with those who can help them.

while the op's problem does suck it seems like an outlier. I'm confused about others saying they had a hard time canceling. It's pretty much point and click to cancel. Don't need to call and do anything. Unfortunately my budget only allows to have it during season but I've unsubscribed and signed back up numerous times with no issue.

Sure it is an "outlier", but before Netflix was a billion dollar company I literally had never heard anyone complaining about canceling the service. It may not be the rule, but I have seen plenty have the issue so it's not like a crazy fluke. It happens often. Seems odd that million dollar company, has this issue frequently, no?

I have seen numerous complaints and multiple threads on the issue here and on other boards (on Flo's too) as recently as March I believe. Now, maybe they fixed it and Fine's situation is an outlier. However, it's one thing not to have your sh*t together and another thing to accuse a company of fraud.

That very well could be and maybe the bugs were fixed before I ever subscribed a few years ago. Was just throwing in my two cents.

Before Netflix was a billion dollar company did you may daily visits to movie/tv show message boards where Netflix was discussed?

No but I have seen you yourself say the wrestling message board community is small. The fact that I have seen complaints for YEARS about canceling Flo and knew plenty of people who tried Netflix and the quit is good enough a comparison for me. Nice try though sir.

Edit: and yes I'm talking earlier 2000s and sorry for comparing a streaming company to another. I guess you have a better comparison? Canceling is canceling Mr. Early and I haven't heard one person complain about canceling Netflix ever, going back to about 2005.

So much passion.
Netflix and chill? ;)

Christian, Just like he did the other 5 times I complained (including this time) AND he wrote back telling me it was already fixed?? I should do that loop again? Great idea, why didn't I think of that?
Thanks for answering but this is way way beyond a mix up. You might want to learn about the other side of FLO ,you don't want to take a trip in the party van when they all go away.

Update: I am a bit dense, so I sent Vince another complaint. I got a note back saying "Are you sure you want to cancel?" Then gave me instructions on how to cancel. Vince is a robot, and a stupid one at that.

It doesn't sound like this is a widespread problem, but it sure sounds like FM has struggled mightily and received horrific customer service. No idea where the problem is, but Flo had better fix this problem fast. It's not resulting in great PR, at the very least.

I would be interested to know if fine material gets a refund from his original cancel date ,if/when this does get straitened out.

Yes, after I go through my monthly routine of complaining to FLO ("we're sorry, but don't worry it's already been fixed" x 6) and filling out the forms at AMEX I get the money back. AMEX now promises me they can't charge me anymore. We'll see on Oct 1.
So if it's a scam it only makes money on people who don't pay attention, and that's not me. My biggest upset in this whole thing is knowing there is an out of control company that has my credit card number.

I'm sure they have already sold it on the dark web!!
FM you are ridiculous. Telling people to stay away from a company and calling them scammers for your individual situation is juvenile. Not being able to settle this without throwing around accusations on a message board is awful.

You sure we aren't talking about Ashley Madison?

That's an opinion. But I warned them with last month's go around I would let the wrestling world know about their customer service if they didn't fix it. And as you see above it got their attention. And my friends in the wrestling community have been warned. I win.

You win nothing, you come across as a disgruntled, paranoid, tin hat loon. They have had issues with this before, just like every other on line site. They will survive based on overall good customer support and second to none coverage. Did you ever get a phone number? TLk to someone in person? Or did you just send an email and keep getting the same response and do the same thing over and over? You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. And by letting the wrestling community know do you mean HR? While this is by far the most active, informative and entertIning of the rivals boards it is far from the entirety of the wrestling community. I would advise to keep you affairs to your self.

I frankly don't blame the guy, after getting the run-around six times. It's not as if he went straight to the Internet after one frustrating experience. Think about it -- SIX TIMES they've charged him inappropriately, told him they'd fix the problem, and done nothing about it (assuming the story is true, of course, but it sounds credible to me, as he's a reasonable poster who doesn't appear to have any ax to grind with Flo).

Not sure if he spoke with anyone on the phone, which seems like a reasonable suggestion, but I suspect he has. I certainly would have gotten someone on the line by that point. That said, sometimes getting someone on the phone can be nearly impossible with companies like this.

In any case, Flo evidently had six chances to get it right and failed to do so. Within hours of posting this, FM got a direct message from a Flo employee pledging to get it fixed. He obviously got their attention -- something he'd tried six times to do and failed. I wouldn't have labeled them scammers on a public forum, but otherwise I think his method -- born of great frustration and poor customer service -- was reasonable, and it was clearly effective.

Hell, I was a subscriber until my credit card I had on file with them expired...... now I can't get it to accept my card when everywhere else does. But I'm not too upset because UWW will be airing the matches this week.

Where they are taking your money, they are missing my money.

I've never had a problem with FLO but I've never tried to cancel. If you ask me the CBSonline people are the scammers, they've continued to charge me for several months and have no online "cancel" option, you have to call them and then they cancel the subscription...that's the one that pi$$es me off as I only want to pay for their service during wrestling.

I called them and it worked out well. They even refunded me a month.

I've dealt with the same thing, Huck. There's actually a way to cancel online, but it's about as hard to find as a needle in a haystack. Totally agree, and I feel your pain!

I have had both sides with Flo. There are good people there and people I would not hire for a cool aid stand. When I had the issue canceling I made sure I spoke with the right people. Basically, the highest ranking person I could get on the phone and it got resolved. To be frank, on the third call I had to push hard to get to managers.

If someone calls them frauds then that is their experience and they have a right to say it. Flo is an organization that experienced rapid growth and have had some growing pains along the way. Sometimes I think some vision them working out of a basement using post high school gamers as techs. While I am not a huge fan of theirs I do recognize a group of people trying to grow a real professional business. CP seems to be a good guy and I hope he takes this thread as feedback to affect change. In 5 years I see them being the company we can all get behind.

I have no issue with the post-- Flo should figure this out-- it should be MUCH easier to cancel online. You shouldn't have to send multiple emails, have to get the highest ranking person to get involved on the phone etc.

This is the main reason I dont subscribe--

But, but... April Racer says the OP is being juvenile and not handling it correctly... we should listen to him!

Investment money and actual growth are not the same. And growth is difficult to measure in non-public entities. But nonetheless, here's a local example: McLeodUSA. It had a 2 billion dollar line of credit, a market, but never turned a profit. Where are they today?

Flo needs to work on its reputation and billing systems or it will never achieve its potential. Flo is capitalizing on the wrestling community thirst for coverage and willingness to be overly compromising.

What I meant was they jumped in popularity and members fast. They have things to do to keep the business scalable.
