I didnt say anything about beatdowns by Iowa the last 6 or so years, but Iowa has won all those games save 1 and I dont think nebby went bowling, maybe they played darts in december
USC does nothing but chuck it downfield. They really have no other strategy.
Seems to be working pretty well in the 2nd half.
Point is....they didn't "fold" against Iowa even when they had nothing to play for, and now they have a better coach. All those games were decided by pretty much one or two plays.

Labas leads a late drive to give Central Michigan a 22-21 win. He had 275 yards passing.
Yep, picking on the same guy again and again. If they meet a team with a good secondary and a good pass rush, they're screwed.
With a run game like ours, we didn't need one in our first 4 games. I expect that to change soon though.
Absolutely hate to say it, but Illinois looks like everything we want to be on offense.

Looking at Indiana's schedule. They could conceivably be 9-0 and hosting Michigan on 11/9. Surprise team of the year. Not hard to envision them going 10-2, maybe even 11-1

I don't buy into the Indiana hype just yet, their best win is against a mediocre Maryland team. Once they get past NW, that's when we'll see if they're the real deal or not.
Ummm.... Iowa lost game 2 because they couldn't pass the ball to save their souls for most of the game. I think they could have used that.

Illinois QB sneak for first down is a play Iowa needs to improve asap. Almost any top 25 team should be able to gain a yard when needed.
LOL!! The fact that Cade was 5-18 (28%), for 27 Yards, and 2 INTs the last 3 quarters was a huge reason Iowa lost that game. Cade was absolutely brutal in that game with an 11.5 QBR. He missed a wide open Gill in the end zone. Anybody suggesting the lack of a passing game wasn't a problem should probably just stop posting.

Illinois probably won't win this but they are for real. Bert has turned them into a good program.
Idk, they’re up 20-0 on the road. Not world beaters, but they’re decent this year.

I also think Kentucky figured out something that works after that SC game.
Houston is really bad but as you said, they are winning easily on the road. Iowa State is decent.

I just like the idea of NW being the measuring gauge for Indiana.
Correct, Cade had a bad passing day, yet we were still moving the ball incredibly well against them, visiting the redzone a total of 3 times in the first half alone. The run was the only thing working against them in the second half, so we stuck with that after Cade's terrible INT. The reason we lost the game is because we failed to score in the redzone. Out of the two visits we didn't score, we only ran twice out of the eight plays we had.
The fact of the matter is that game we didn't need a big downfield threat to beat them. We proved that in the first half alone. Passing was a huge problem that day, but we didn't need it to beat them.
Once they get past NW, that's when we'll see if they're the real deal or not.
Then maybe I need to read this a couple more times too.
Tbf, NW will actually be the toughest defense Indiana has faced.
The Hoosiers should win because Northwestern is on pace to be as bad if not worse than our offenses from 2022-2023...............
But we also know how these things go with the Kittens.
