I think Iowa loses at Indiana anyway.
But suddenly, a #3 seed at B1G tourney looks highly possible.
She’s hot garbage out there.
Only person with less confidence in her shot than me is her.
CC looked gassed and possibly under the weather. I'm not sure I've seen her that wiped at half.
Others need to step up. It's time to have a real conversation about GM's minutes. If you are too timid to take a wide open 3, we need to get someone else in there. When Molly is fully healthy we need Syd on the floor in her spot more and give McCabe some minutes.
I'm not going to roast the coach, we should have been able to pull that out after Kates 3 with 4ish minutes to play up 77-70. They all took their foot off the gas.

Some will point to officiating. I will not. I want them to make every basket, but I'm tired of wide open missed layups, (1st qtr Kate Martin 2+). G Marshall making a wide open 3? Forget it. Iowa did something right to get a 14 point lead then completely went away from it. Clark wanting to get a bunch of other people involved in the 4th qtr? Yep, effin record will be broken someday. Perhaps we missed a sick Molly today. Whatever Bluder put into Clark's head going into the 4th qtr hope she is happy.

No, I said before the 4th quarter that I hope they don't play not to lose and let Clark break the record. She played completely different in the 4th quarter than she did the previous 3 quarters. Clark breaks the record at nebraska, they win the game.

Then why shoot at all? It’s not like the game was out of reach. If she didn’t want to score points she would have looked to pass rather than missing a shot and essentially turning the ball over.
Blowing a 14 point lead in the 4Q was bullshit and coaching malpractice by going away from what you do to ensure a record gets broken in a certain location.

That 4th quarter was the worst 10 minutes of ball I’ve seen an Iowa team of either gender play in a very long time. Only thing worse was the coaching.

I think you guys who think Bluder was trying to get Clark the record at home have lost your damn minds. Now why we slowed the game down in the 4th and didn’t have Clark as the primary ball handler I don’t know. Even the announcers were confused. Maybe 1-2 possessions like we do at times but not the majority of the quarter. Just botched it.
You’re missing the point totally here. It’s not the amount of shots. She didn’t have the ball in her hands running the offense in the 4th quarter. For almost the entire 4th quarter until we called a timeout so she could take a 30 footer while being tightly guarded by the way!
Iowa had FOUR 4th Qtr turnovers.
And Iowa shot like crap. They should have driven more to the hoop, imo.
